The atmosphere on the contact centre floor is really lively and friendly. It's a great place to meet new friends and enjoy your time at work. There's plenty of support when and if you need it with team managers and coaches on hand all the time. Although there is initially a lot to learn, the trainers and academy team are really good and make sure you have lots of support before you are placed into your team on the floor and make you feel comfortable asking any questions you have. I really enjoy working here and have made friends for life on my team.
I worked here and left wen everyome started dropping like flies. Always give u promises but never do. No benefits. No incentives. No rewards. No recognition. No experienced managers. Everyone including managers are scool leavers. I srill have nightmares about that place. Best thing i ever did was walking in on the day and saying 'CHEERIO'. Absolutely glad i left. I am now a manager in my new job. . also check out the video on the eveing times about acrion fraud lol
They promised me a good wage I saw slavery just like from the 19th century. Local people staying in front of old computers eating food like laboratory rabbits waiting to be slaughtered... At the end of the month your wage is 600 Pounds and your small flat costs 600 Pounds... Working for Concentrix in Gourock you must live in a gloomy place looking like a cemetery. Don't go there you could even find your grave... A big trap!
If you have a good work ethic you can progress. Started as a Fraud Advisor, helped new staff during training, moved into quality and coaching, delivered workshops, gained leadership skills, moved into a recruitment role. Built relationships with all staff and management and received superb support when required. Made some life long friends that I miss dearly. Concentrix provided opportunity to be challenged and to grow. Thank You.
Great support, progression opportunities, challenging, satisfying
Pay and benefits
A typical day within the role would be answering inbound calls from members of the public who have been victim to fraud or looking for additional advice. Due to the high demand of calls taken on a daily basis work morale is quite low. Managers and employees have tried to boost morale by given raffle prizes etc.
Worked there as a so called fraud advisor for Action Fraud. Would be a great role if they had competent people in charge. They treat their staff like children. They lose the staff that are actually good at their jobs due to bad management. Met some great people there. Management couldn't run a bath never mind a campaign. It's an easy job with interesting calls that is made unnecessarily stressful by the unqualified morons they have running the place , Laughable.
No words to discribe how terrible this place is to work for. Half of the ‘managers’ are 18-21 years old with no experience and only interested in what they all got up to at the weekends. Agents actually walk in on other staff gossiping about them and calling them names. If you thought you left school then think again...
Makes you appreciate ANY other job
Job is not secure, always threats of the contract being pulled
Ensuring that all incoming telephone calls are answered in a professional and timely manner.Manage and protect sensitive personal information in accordance with relevant legislation.Effectively handle calls from the public and record in the correct manner laid down by the client and escalated where necessary.Challenging position.
Regardless of how desperate you are, do not work for this company. Management are rude, unhelpful and unapproachable. The Fraud Advisor role, based in Gourock is a complete farce. You aren't allowed to get out of your seat to ask for help if you are stuck with a more complex call. You are made to feel like a child in school. There is the promise of career progression within the company but if you work on the CoLP contract, then you can not progress outwith that contract - even though there are other positions in other contracts. The job isn't difficult, but is demanding. Not worth the measly £7.90 per hour. There is an extremely high staff turnover - which you will discover for yourself if you are mad enough to come work for this company. **AVOID**
Absolutely no career progression

Is Indeed your favorite place to learn about companies?
The worst place I have ever worked... the management are so inexperienced and are very rude and unhelpful. There is no support unit what so ever. The HR is non-existent. Even if you are desperate I would advise you to keep well away from this place!!!
Wage, working hours, inexperienced leadership, NO HR contact
Situated outside Gourock on the hills high above Clyde, the company claims to be special. What they offer is poor contracts and wages. The working conditions is no good and they have a very high staff turnover. This company is not everyone's cup of tea.
They pay the wages
Long hours, poor support, overly interested in statistics.
Let's start with a very clear example of how Concentrix deals with their employees. Recently employees underwent a TUPE transfer from Manpower to Concentrix. Existing employees obviously kept their conditions, being a 37.5 hour workweek, salary was the same, holidays were untouched. However, NEW employees that come in now that the TUPE transfer is complete, have different conditions. For members of the same team, if you were lucky to join before the TUPE, your workweek would stay 37.5, salary (in my case) a measly 16000/year, 32 vacationdays. This is without any seniority! If you joined AFTER the transfer, joining the same team would have you work 40 hours a week. For 16000/year. Effectively lowering the hourly rate. Holiday entitlement is 28 days for new hires instead. For employees within the same team this causes a ton of friction. Teams are consistently understaffed because of the low salary, emotionally and physically draining workload, and terrible management. Replacing broken lab-equipment (in this case, a new harddrive is needed for one of the test PC's in the lab) (necessary to provide support to customers) doesn't happen. A simple 30 GBP harddrive had been ordered in October 2015 and it's still not here.
remote location (Gourock), bad management, bad policies, bad salary, no reimbursment for commute costs
Solely focusing on the actual job role itself, actionfraud at concentrix is great and really interesting, but the hassle from HR isn't worth it. From forcing an entire workforce to sign new contracts and restart their probation for no reason, to taking promised bank holidays away less than 3 weeks before they are due, to blatant transphobia, to sacking people for struggling with the job when no one was given any coaching in over 6 months, it's a horrible environment. The only thing that makes it worth staying is your co-workers.
HR doesn't know anything, no support given
Decent work, with a lot of different challenges that needed to be adressed and worked with every day. I got much better at communicating, and working fast and productively while still uphold a positive image of yourself, and therefore also the company. My co-workers were all positive, upstanding people with all kinds of different backgrounds and nationalities. Outright great people, all of them. Mangement were all positive and were always there to help, listen, and doing good with upholding the productivity, positivity and the good standards of the company and it's employees. If something negative were to occur within the workplace and/or company on the other hand, it was rather difficult to engage in intellectual discourse about it, which I will say was the hardest part of this job. If the employees spoke up about something, they would not be given the time of day, and even the most "outspoken" so to say could be dismissed on this basis. Most enjoyable? The co-workers. As mentioned before, all positive, down to earth people that found joy in helping eachother as much as the costumers they serviced.
Great cantine, good co-workers, flexible hours.
Airconditioning was a mess, negative input was shut down without any proper discourse, long way to smoking-area
