Connect driver solutions is premier agency, providing regular work in the transport sector. Good pay, good contacts with reputable companies. No delays in pay. Regular updates with shifts available. Agency allows Hgv drivers to expand their knowledge and confidence working in different environments. This in turn allows experience to shine through when applying for full time positions.However my circumstances allows flexibility.Good agency no hesitation in using them on a regular basis. Staff are helpful and approachable.

Don't fall for it!

Keep your mental health and don't get into that hole, they promise an hourly rate and then pay another one at the end, the management is terrible, the communication between the agency and the real employer does not exist, you will be forced to do functions far beyond what you driving, there are no breaks to eat something and even then it will be deducted from your salary. The company that will pay you with your payslip is a company of bars and nightclubs, nothing to do with a driver agency. Stay away from this trap.

Plenty work if you want to work

I worked for connect for about a year and never had any problems with them there was always plenty of work if you want to work and the pay was good and always on time never any problems

Regular work

I have been enjoying working here, great pay with decent start times for the jobs that I have been on. The odd place has been quite physical but others been very light.

Great agency, always had work for me (always more then I wanted) office staff easy to talk to Just all around good to deal withThey have some good contracts with some good companies and are usually making more then the full time employees

New starter

Just registered with this agency and hadnt done agency work for about 10+ years. Easy to get signed up (forms emailed through and a follow up call) and offered ideal work with hours to suit my availability almost immediately by the friendly staff. Slight mix up on my part with my first pay as I didnt realise holidays were factored in but no drama as iit was a good hourly rate well above avg. So far so good.

Pros

Easy sign up, friendly staff and found me ideal shifts immediately.

Cons

None so far but as with all agencies theres no guarantees of work.

A good agency who provides work when requested

I've been with several agencies in the past and this one is the best out of them all for several reasons. With previous ones I would be often offered work I was not interested in (wrong type, times etc), whereas Connect lets me know when jobs come in that I do want to do- which works out best for both me and the Company, as less time wasted on their behalf. I like being given work with advanced notice, which Connect does very well. If I have questions I find they reply quickly and sort things out to keep me going. Other advantages include: offering work by text message instead of always phone call, easy to arrange down time, not needing to visit the premises (as live far away) and reliable. Connect offer a wide variety of job roles to suit all needs, from van up to C+E transporting all different kinds of things - which is great as having variety makes work even more fulfilling. The only issues to mention are sometimes there can be a communication difficulty between the agency staff and an employer, in the specific case of many vehicles (and drivers) being sent from one site to another during one shift for example, often late or out of hours, which can result in delays as the drivers don't know who's instructions to follow; either the agencies or the company we are providing services to. But luckily these occurrences are quite uncommon and seem to have improved over time. Pay is always on time, even with bank holidays and is fair for the job undertaken. Overall I would recommend Connect Driver Solutions for your agency driving needs and I intend to keep working for -

Class 1 Driver

I was made redundant from my job and submitted a CV to one of the Class1 positions Connect Driver Solutions had available in the Newcastle area. I was contacted within a couple hours of applying by Gemma and put out to work the same week. I undertook work at various companies and ended up with a temporary to permanent contract which I have just gone full time with. The registration process is very easy to complete and found the staff to be great in the Sunderland office.Work is available and they have some great contracts. Pay was on time (every Friday) and paid correctly each week. Would recommend this agency to work for compared to some of the agencies in the North East.

Competitive wages, Good work life balance you can pick and choose when to work, variety of work is good

Keep an eye on your wages

Paid through umbrella company which changes name regularly , the hourly rate they tell you is not what your wage slip always says , sometimes not paid for nights out , holiday pay factored in Work is there but mostly low wage stuff ,don't know where they get the £10 - £25 from Not the most genuine of staff or the best agency I've ever worked for

Just another poor struggling agency

What ever work you get drag it out by atleast 2hrs as theyl take your dinners off you at the overtime rate so take an extra hour to make it back up,. Typical agency yes pleae no thank you untill you dont want work that week or day, then theyl take a strop, txt you non stop and the pleases and thanks have suddenly gone from the txts, like a school kid theyl take the huff, same as all other agencys in north east, poor work for even worse companies who cant get drivers because the work is poor and they treat them like dirt, Ramage, fergies etc, do yourself a favour and say NO.

Friendly and helpful

I found the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The whole process was really quick and easy and within a few days of contacting them i was offered the position i had applied for and started a week later. Any questions i had were answered quickly and i always recieved my payslip and wages on time. Would definitely recommend.

This is the Best agency by far. This is my first time I have ever been employed by an agency

I can not fault this agency I am currently working for, the provide extremely outstanding support if you need it and are always a phone call away for anything you may need. I have the best director, manager and assistant manager I could ask for. I get paid on time every week and I can’t thank them enough. They help with my work hours and are very understanding and easy going team. I have nothing but praise for the team in my agency. I have a great job I really love and it’s all thanks to connect driver solutions. They have change my life by this job and I am fully blessed. I want to make them proud and I have had positive feedback the way through that boosts my moral and the do nothing more then keep your moral high and ensure your Ok at all times. I asked for help with employment for my partner and they couldn’t of been more helpful I will recommend connect driver solutions all the way. Wish I could send some flowers or chocolates as a huge thank you to them all. They all work very hard.

Good fun

Thing about this agency is they have work they are very welcoming and have an amazing attitude to people's wellbeing. I was a lucky person just ringing them and they always provide an amazing service for me 5 stars in all they have helped me with the past 2 months

Transport managers are like babies

Worked through the Sunderland branch and wasn't impressed at all , early morning calls , everything last minute and no work in advance If you couldn't cover a shift the transport managers were like babies sulking Culture is like going back in time and I wouldn't recommend working at this branch at all

Excellent

Genuinely relaxed and easy process of receiving shift to getting paid. I receive a text message the day before stating my start time for the next day. Payslip is emailed by Wednesday latest for pay day every Friday
