not there for long
carer (Former Employee) - Essex - 28 May 2021
applied for and offered a full-time job, doing live-in care work, and was told they had plenty of live-in work. Spent most of my time doing odd shifts at various care places. When I complained, I was told that they didn’t do much live-in work. Final straw was when I was pressured to take a shift a 2hr drive away, in a blizzard (where advice was to avoid travelling, and journeys were taking twice as long as normal). Didn’t do it, then didn’t get offered any other work that week.
Pros
can’t recall anything not offered by every other agency
Cons
job wasn’t what I was told

Cordant Care review
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Waltham Cross, Essex - 14 May 2020
When I first started working at cordant care, I was really scared and nervous but afterwards I got used to some of the staffs there.
Some care homes I've worked in are faster than the other. The kind of people I've worked with are very nice and caring.

Constant comunication
Agency work, Care and Support worker (Former Employee) - varied - 7 September 2018
There were times when the communication was too much, being an agency I was phoned to cover for last minute shifts which would leave me in an ethical dilemma where I didn't want to let anyone down but I was exhausted from the amount of travelling and shifts I was covering.

Productive and encouraging experience
Care Assistant/Support Worker (Former Employee) - Liverpool, Merseyside - 21 February 2017
I enjoyed working for Cordant care as they sent me to nice care setting where the staff were very polite to agency workers. However some care settings will refuse to let you work due to you being agency and never being at a home before.
Being sent to different care setting meant learning about the life in a care home of elderly who needed asistance with everyday life which helped my knowledge a lot.
Pros
Not having to go back to a place you did not feel comfortable with, encouraging experiences, choosing your own hours every week
Cons
Not always guaranteed hours every week

Bad agency
Support Worker/Care Assistant (Former Employee) - I'm Birmingham - 22 August 2016
This is one of the most unprofessional, un-organised agency inhave been with. They dont consult you or give you supervison. They dont care or spread out there shifts, they pick and choose the shifts. They are rude and abnoxious especially the birmingham branch. The dudley and wallsal co-ordinator is very rude and likes things to be done her way. She does not care about the wellfare of her staff. I would not work for this company and i am looking to leave. There is no consistent management, no manager to talk to.
Pros
Flexibility
Cons
Poor management, poor staffing

Flexible work opportunities and fun environment
support worker, contact supervisor, care assistant (Current Employee) - London - 2 December 2015
Helpful company with strong development and training ethos. Fun and flexible shift work which ensure reasonable work-life balance. Standard level of bureaucracy but fast paced job allocation. Understanding consultants who seek to get to know staff and meet their needs. It is a forward looking company, job opportunities becoming limited.

Proactive
Sales Apprentice (Current Employee) - Reading, ENG - 24 June 2015
A typical day at work would be cover shifts and dealing with Client requests.
I've learnt a lot over the course of the year, I have learnt how to do every job within Branch.
Management is Poor, Not much communication always depending upon the Senior as the Manager was never around.
Co-Workers, Great team get along well.
Battling to get staff to go to work due to no flow of new staff.
Dealing with Clients as most of them are generally quite nice.
Cons
In house on Call

If you are willing to work hard, then being part of the Cordant Group will open up a lot of opportunities. It will take time and hard work but you'll get a chance to become somebody in one of the fastest growing recruitment agencies who are committed to trying to become the best.
