I have worked for cordant twice .I enjoyed it but needed to move on .second time there was more seasonal and once it changed it was time to go elsewhere. I would recommend giving them a go as like military service some people love it and others don't.

They are the worst company to work for and pay rubbish and never give pay rises and they loose all there staff cause they can't keep contracts for there stores or premises

Basically after getting the job nobody bothers with you if you do job correctly. However if you don't there are some retail staff that will speak behind you to your manager.

Would only work for this company if you are truly desperate for money. I'm still owed sick pay/holiday pay and trying to get through on the phone to payroll is an absolute Joke. You are simply just a number when it comes to companies like these and that's all you'll ever be even if you're the best at catching shoplifters. Just a stepping stone on to a better job if you're desperate enough to get the experience.

Repetitive hours low pay

If you like working long hours for very little pay then this is the company for you the hours were set I worked every Weekend and often in my own when there should have been two guards on trying to save money and costcut after nearly a year then try to bill me one hundred and fifty pounds for my uniform and by the way if you need to speak to there national control centre good luck with that they never pick up maybe after forty minutes or an hour overall I would avoid this Company I've been in the industry for over 30 years and I can honestly say this is possibly the worst Company I worked for

Terrible company with very little pay control are useless can never get hold of them. Depending on where they put you depends on what work life is like got moved from a store I was happy with and store was happy to have me to one that was terrible without explanation also got hours cut again without explanation. They like you to put them before yourself and family it’s there way or no way

Worst company to work for you ask for holidays then they put them in and don’t pay you for them also give you shifts and make out your permanent and if you ask for a transfer to another store they offer shifts but then take all shifts of you and you have to wait to hear about any work and doesn’t help when managers are on holiday and you try phone them without knowing there on holiday they should tell you so you know who to contact I would skip this company if I was anyone else

I have never worked in retail security before and Cordant security knows this i lasted 2 shifts no training offered Cordant manager never used to reply my phone calls or emails uniform never fitted no shoes supplied and no phone given either had to use my own phone to book on and if any problems use my own phone my advice is stay clear as management don't seem to care well That's what I think I never got fuel money back when it says fuel would be paid if you fancy working for a company were management don't seem to care then this is the company for you!!!

Great company, great manager, supportive

Great manager, my manager was very helpful and helped me any way he could when I was struggling with my mental health. He always checks in now to see how I am doing. My area manager is great. Its a very good company to work for if you do what your told. Different shift patterns and flexible if needed. Sometimes shifts can be long but it depends on where you are based. Only downfall is that it is minimum wage for the type of job.

Terrible company to work for. Was there for around 6months never received my badge from them. I'd work days and nights but they'd never tell me about the nights until the day before. When I was told 1 day before I had a week of nights management knew I was going to be doing nights 2 weeks before the first shift so why couldn't they tell me 2 weeks before the first night shift?? Management never had your back and always tried to get you to work on days off. Nightshift pay was the same as day shift(doesn't seem right)

Communication needs work they either hound you with calls or ignore you for weeks - your role you’ll get locally based shifts but they rarely happen - very least your paid on time ( 8th of each month or there abouts )
