Working with cordant is averagely good.
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Central london - 16 June 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedWhat is the best part of working at the company? Prompt payment of salary which is encouraging. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Sometimes you struggle for shifts. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The environment is not that bad. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Nothing special. Just like every other organisation

Existing, wasted 6 years of my life.
Regional Operations Manager/ Security Officer (Former Employee) - Greater Manchester - 28 September 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? There isn’t one. Handing in your notice. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Starting your shift. Then going back the next day to do it all over again. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Work environments fine, no culture. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Absolute boring, nobody cares. Your paid to wear a suit inform that’s it.

Stay Away!
Security Team Manager (Former Employee) - Barnsley - 21 July 2023
Cordant was by far the most unprofessional company I had the misfortune of being employed by. The work/life balance is nonexistent, the managers are useless and they will not back you in any way when clashing with clients - instead they will just unlawfully terminate your employment and hope that it all goes away. A truly horrendous company and one whom I can only hope goes out of business in the very near future.

It pays the bills.
Security Officer (Former Employee) - London - 9 June 2023
It's a good way to start in the security industry. Good amount of hours with overtime. But no progression. Plenty of sites in the UK if you wanted to work elsewhere.

No Wonder They Lost Contracts
SIA Door Supervisor (Former Employee) - Wakefield - 30 June 2022
There was little or no involvement from the area manager. Workers were merely expected to turn up and get on with the job. I wouldn't repeat the error of working for them again!
Pros
None
Cons
Too much travel during lockdown.

Disgusting Company to work for
Security Supervisor (Former Employee) - Warrington - 1 May 2022
Whilst you are at work you are constantly being monitored by the site security manager via cctv and your always under threat of losing your job and your so called work mates stab you in the back. They give you a 0 hour contract and threaten you with if you don't work overtime we will cut your hours down to nothing and there is no work life balance and this is the same story of all security companies I know I've been around I think the best remedy for this is to get out of security work all together it is a joke

Good atmosphere
Security guard (Former Employee) - Varied - 22 April 2022
I have worked for cordant twice .I enjoyed it but needed to move on .second time there was more seasonal and once it changed it was time to go elsewhere. I would recommend giving them a go as like military service some people love it and others don't.

Company is a bunch of Gangsters.
Security Guard (Former Employee) - Coventry - 13 October 2021
Would only work for this company if you are truly desperate for money. I'm still owed sick pay/holiday pay and trying to get through on the phone to payroll is an absolute Joke. You are simply just a number when it comes to companies like these and that's all you'll ever be even if you're the best at catching shoplifters. Just a stepping stone on to a better job if you're desperate enough to get the experience.
Pros
None.
Cons
Long Hours/No life/Holidays all rejected.

Awful - AVOID if you like to be able to afford things and have a social life
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 5 May 2021
Cannot and will not pay holiday properly, clueless management, operations managers are no better. No development or advancement opportunities at all. Handbook states that the company will help train its employees but when you ask for it you will not get it. Hourly rate is less than everyone else on site and will not go up. They will ring you up on your very few rest days trying to bully you to come into work for no incentive, There is no work life balance with Cordant I would advise you stay away.
Pros
The people I worked with made it bare-able for the time I was there
Cons
Ridiculous hours, Awful management, will harass you to cover shifts on your few days off.

Only a stepping stone to elsewhere
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Stirling - 31 March 2021
To start with a pro, the hours were okay. You only worked 13 hours on a Sunday. 8 hours training for the job, then left on your own. Low pay. In retail security, you might not be treated as an employee so if you are marshalling, no one will cover your break. Rota changes like every 2 seconds. Getting in touch with control was a gastly. Area manager was pleasant and nice, helpful. Not a full time career, spend a couple of months there and move on.
Pros
Hours can be good
Cons
Low pay, inconsistent rota, poor training, getting in touch with control can take ages

No progression,minimal wages
Door Supervisor (Former Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 3 November 2020
Don't recommend unless dying for a job, poor management, no direct answers,no where to easily report incidents,no where to add expenses, fired right before furlough scheme started so I don't get enough help during another lockdown. When emailing manager about a question he started talking about How he has a life outside the job when i just wanted an answer when he's available, wasn't telling him to reply at 10pm,absolute low life
Pros
Nothing
Cons

Bad company to work for.
SECURITY OFFICER (Former Employee) - North London, Greater London - 28 October 2020
I found the interview session easier than I thought it would be,although I did have to chase up my line manager in order to start work, but once I was I there was plenty of shift work for me up in liverpool,it was only when I got a transfer down to London that Cordant security became very unprofessional only allocating shifts to friends and not looking after staff members that were doing a good job,was other staff were slacking and break date protection Law and god nose what else. Area manager weren't concerned with there client's needs and request seem to have to many security guards and clearly not enough work..all in all a bad company to work for.
Pros
You got uniform provided.
Cons
Area manager are unprofessional.
