Insights into Corps Security
What people like
- Fair pay for job
Areas for improvement
- Time and location flexibility
- Sense of belonging
- Support from manager
Very cliquey
Security Guard (Current Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 14 August 2023
Some absolute chocolate fireguards this company employ when a relief guard is sent to cover they sleep most of shift and do little to no work, management are aware and just don't give a toss, applying for leave is like Russian roulette as to if you'll get approved regardless length of time in advance managers also have their favourites and get things approved or moved for them whilst disregarding other staff.

Good pay but too much politics
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire - 6 May 2023
There is too much politics that make job hard for new officer. The site managers and supervisors treat you like a robot. Pay rate is good and company pay for all training and license

Great site Security Manager
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Reading - 22 March 2023
The Security manager of the site I worked on for CORPS Security was a great person and a pleasure to work for/with. Some of the staff were good people. The Security Supervisor was very good at training you and encouraging you in your work.
Pros
The Farm staff were great on the hole.
Cons
Hotel staff did not like the fact that they had to have Security.

Great team on site, management no interest.
Security Officer (Current Employee) - Scotland - 28 February 2023
Good team of officers, management has no development or interest on anyone happy as long as there is someone there to cover their duties. No help on any renewals or if you start finish late. Better paying companies now.
Cons
Bad management/hours for pay not that good.

No help and boring
Team Leader (Current Employee) - Nottingham - 28 January 2023
Working for this company doesn't mat you feel part of a team the management are not there to help you you need it. You have to work extra hours to cover for those who 5hink it's OK not to attend and you paid less for doing it to help them out
Pros
None
Cons
Long hours, poor pay

The supervisor doesn't know how to speak to people
Security Officer (Current Employee) - Hartlepool - 29 December 2022
Pays ok Lots of walking Training is crammed into 4 days The supervisor is aggressive in the way he speaks to people Management doesn't take complaints seriously Some 'team' members will stab you in Hartlepool site will misuse CCTV to try and catch you not doing your job, they basically watch you working on the CCTV You are constantly under scrutiny from the contract holder They will blame the guards first before blaming the supervisor or anyone else Plenty of overtime available as they can't keep staff Avoid it if possible.
Pros
Reasonable pay, get left alone(ish) on nights
Cons
Misuse of CCTV, constantly asked to do overtime, staff don't stay, old staff backstab, supervisor has no people skills, supervisor constantly brown-nosing best friend who is contract holder

Good company
Duty Manager (Former Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 11 December 2022
Worked here for 11 years and can say that it was a decent company to work for. No issues with wages etc. Simply turn up and complete the job required and go home.

Security Officer (Current Employee) - Manchester, Greater Manchester - 7 December 2022
The pay is ok and the hours are good but if they can’t get cover your stuck on the job until they do which isn’t good when you have just done 12 hour shift

Jobs at Corps Security
Not bad the time I was employed there.
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Newcastle upon Tyne - 16 November 2022
Everybody in security has subjective opinions about this industry. I found working for Corps okay. Paid on time, most holidays granted, and refresher training to keep you updated with security industry requirements. Managers in my area were also fine, polite and accommodating where ever possible.

Great company
Security Officer (Current Employee) - England - 20 September 2022
Standard security job, only with the added job security of being with the biggest security company in the UK. Managers do help when you ask and they are helpful.

Security
Pass Officer Vetting Officer (Former Employee) - Plymouth - 24 August 2022
I worked for Corps Security from 2009 until the contract ended in 2020 April, over all it was ok, but the pay was not great, very little benefits, they did things they should not have done, which was not in the contract, Management , well not that good , could have been a lot better, than it was, what i learned not a lot from them as i am former military with 25 years, so there was not a lot they could teach me on this matter, workplace was good with the guys, as 99% of them were former military so there was good banter with us , you could not get away with this in a civi job , they would call that bullying in that world,

Run as far as you can from this company
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Crawley, West Sussex - 27 July 2022
The management are the worst I've had to work with and if they are under CBRE that is double trouble, management of both companies are really bad and arrogant, they don't listen to what you have to say because you as a Security Officer are just a number they can get others to work. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AND IF CBRE ARE INVOLVED RUN.

Employee focussed company
Security Account Manager (Current Employee) - London - 15 July 2022
I’ve been with CORPS for 2 years now as a managerial SME and, since the beginning, was blown away with the levels of support received from the company. They’re always striving to develop their employees and source new innovation to improve efficiencies and always place their employees first.

unsure of what is job title
unknown (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 15 June 2022
Started at housing complex not as a security officer . Its more of janitor concierge. Cctv non existence. No mobile coverage. If something happen or an incident you can't fone out. received a fone call on a sun nyt at 2115 I find this unacceptable. I was in my kip according to management ther entitled to fone you at all hours to remind you of your shift then they had the cheek to send an email of the same thing at 2215. Not acceptable. stay well away from them the hours was not suitable as well as the no breaks given as your on your own and can't leave I turn down another job to work here . Luckily I had another job to go to. If you do have 1 don't tell them
Pros
low pay bad management fone all sorts of hours including a Sunday nyt after 10 pm
Cons
no mobile coverage health and safety broken.low oay
