Costa Coffee
Costa Coffee Employee Review
Good
Barista (Former Employee) - Wolviston, North Yorkshire - 25 September 2023
This barista is a true coffee magician! With a smile that brightens up the café and a talent for creating delicious and beautifully crafted beverages, they make every customer's day. Their attention to detail, friendly nature, and ability to handle busy periods with grace make them a valuable asset to any coffee shop. Highly recommended! ☕️

Costa is the one business I’ve worked for where there is a lack of care for your life/work balance and your requests for shifts are denied and your given work as they please

Good place to work but can be difficult at times
Good place to work if you get along with your co-workers, but if you don’t can be hard. Some managers are great others are unfair and target staff members. Very understaffed so found myself doing 4 jobs instead of 1 so the amount they paid for that was not great. Very stressful and nothing was done about that even though higher management were aware.
Pros
Free drinks on shift and 50% food
Cons
no support, not enough staff on shift so you’d be doing 3 jobs at once.

Don’t do it
Absolutely appalling company to work for in all honesty. Bullying that comes from upper management as well as gaslighting. They pick and choose their favourites then cause conflict between them. They allow bad behaviour and even reward it. The most enjoyable part of the job was the customers. Everything else was awful you aren’t treat like a human at all and they just don’t seem to care. Don’t work for this company. You’ll last a few months max then leave, their staff turn around is shocking

Cons
Work life balance, upper management, staff, no training, no hours for anyone, money hungry
