As a store manager You are often expected to jump in to cover sickness in your own time without additional pay. Micro managed to the ends of the earthPestered and phoned on your days off even from upper management

It is what you make it but there is no support in times of need. The teams work hard but Store Manager’s are given ZERO training. No induction, no courses.

You'll meet excellent people and the job itself can be fairly rewarding at times on the right day. Unfortunately, whilst the core team will be there to support you, upper management is an absolute farce. Poor decisions on top of poor decisions regularly leave you understaffed with ques going out the door, piles of dirty pots everywhere, angry customers abusing you because they have to wait and maintenance problems that just never seem to be fixed. It's guaranteed to take a toll on you mentally if you work more than part time.
