Good place to work
Bonus scheme is bogus otherwise good company to work for. V fast paced and hard work. More physical and standing. Regular audits and upselling pressure.

Very enjoyable work place with great willing and fun staff.
I have worked for Costa for almost 6 years and I love being able talk and meet new people everyday. I find my current role as manager very enjoyable with the store being one of the best performers in our franchise category. I enjoy waking up and coming to work and being proud to say I manage a high performing store with wonderful staff. My one and only reason looking for new work is pay, because we are a franchise store we don't get the same pay and benefits as other equity Costa's. The hardest part of the job is being able to keep to the weekly budget, which is based upon, wages, orders, and takings for the store. I've learned how to be more confident in myself, and how to approach further management or supervisory roles in the future. A typical day in store would consist of opening the store, entering the float into the till, doing the daily order, setting up of the coffee machine and filling up of cakes and sandwiches. Orders usually turn up around 9am-10am then you just match it making sure all the products are there then put it away.
Pros
1 free hot drink a day, 50% off during working hours and 25% off on days off.
Cons
Not many benefits and no chance of progression.
