Good people, unfortunately tough times
UK Head of Third Party, Operational Resilience and OCIR (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 22 July 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedLots of opportunity for to learn and some inspiring people and leaders. As with all big companies can be some resistance to change and lack of ownership and responsibility.

used to be great
Data Analyst (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 29 May 2023
Used to have a great collaborative culture. Post merger announcement things have been chaotic and management is in survival mode and toxic. No longer a meritocracy

Good coporate culture with nice people
Production Support Analyst (Current Employee) - Greater London - 3 February 2022
Good coporate culture and nice working environment. Management has a strong vision and communcations are clear to all employee. People are generally nice and deliver high quality of services. As a new joiner, learning path could be steep as IT and operation systems are decoupled and proprietary. Lack of documentation and self-contained team structure could be challenge for any new joiners. Risk management are something need to be improved.
Pros
Nice people, Good and healthy working environment, Open and fair corporate culture, Compensation and benefit are generally
Cons
Technologies and systems are relatively outdated comparing to industry peers, Working hours are long, Career progression is slow.

A Bank and Swiss: Are you surprised?
N/A (Former Employee) - Canary Wharf, Greater London - 14 April 2020
CS are hardly known for exciting, blue-knuckle fun. They are a very conservative organisation. They are also very slow to change, and change is really only allowed for the build-the-bank side, and if you happen to be on the run-the-bank side, good luck. That being said, their managment is solid, their processes generally work, and there is really a lot to be said for that. And the canteen at Canary Wharf is good, I recommend the omlette bar.

Dynamic and fast paced investment bank.
Senior Project Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, Risk & Finance IT (Former Employee) - London - 18 March 2020
Leading investment bank that developed complex risk testing models to provide regulatory reporting to the FCA. Globally distributed team. Helped move from waterfall to agile ways of working.

Busy and challenging
Front Office Support - Account Opening Specialist (Former Employee) - London - 12 March 2020
My roles at Credit Suisse were extremely busy, challenging and demanding but I enjoyed the daily work and responsibilities.
All roles have come with extreme responsibility but both my current and ARM roles have been challenging due to the AML and KYC demands and SOW in High risk countries.

PA TO MANAGING DIRECTOR/Team (Former Employee) - London - 4 March 2020
Good and friendly work environment though annual review nòt very useful. If you work for the right team and under the right management there all is fine but when changes come they do not look at your wishes but just have to meet the requirements e.g making employees redundant if they have to reduce number of employees - no job security

Fast paced and challenging
Assistant Vice President (Former Employee) - Canary Wharf - 19 February 2020
Being an Investment Bank, Credit Suisse can be a challenging environment to work in, but the staff there are great and helps each other out during tough times and are sociable outside of work hours.

Good work colleagues poor high level management
Senior Vice President (Former Employee) - London - 28 January 2020
Company was trying to change direction and cut costs hence a lot of turmoil often keenly felt by the teams trying to run BAU. Cultural could be a bit paternalistic.

Unrewarding
Broker (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 25 January 2020
Unrewarding, no matter what hours worked or length of service. Line managers surrounded by yes men. Always trying to match other Swiss Banks without success.

Insightful experience
Work Placement (Former Employee) - London - 4 December 2019
Completed work experience with the sales team with trades whilst working in the Fixed Income – FX Sales Department. Worked on and executed deals with the FX sales team to clients like Autobus and observed how these deals would be assessed by the Credit Risk Management Department afterwards.
