No pay for work
Driver (Former Employee) - Manchester City Centre, Greater Manchester - 7 October 2022
They owe us nearly 2000 for discrepancies we did hard work and they didn't pay us, they are the worst we have come across, rude MF's, customer service staff and controllers are absolutely disgusting as if they have no qualifications what so ever,

Terrible place to work steer clear
Customer Liaison Officer (Former Employee) - Tamworth, Staffordshire - 8 August 2022
Cannot say anything good about the company. Terrible to work for, management really isn’t good and a revolving door of people. Anything goes wrong it is the staff who are thrown under the bus and the managers do not take responsibility at all even when you bring up failures.
Pros
None at all
Cons
Management is bad, very bad

No accountability
Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Tamworth, Staffordshire - 8 October 2019
Having worked for the company for a while, the best thing was the money.
Management in the office have no knowledge of how the business operates and simply think that they can change how things work without thinking about how it affects the drivers or customers.
If anyone makes a mistake then management attempt to find a scapegoat to ensure that they don’t have to admit any errors to the company director
The majority of Controllers speak to drivers like they are something unpleasant that they stood in, while Customer Service are left to pick up the pieces.
Stay away as they are poison
Pros
Money
Cons
Management

Efficient and Capable, yet friendly
Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 21 September 2017
Working with Crown as a driver has gotten better and better over the last few years. Great contracts offering varied work has kept me as busy as I want to be yet still able to take time away when needed without any problems.
Their app is one of the best ive used so no need to carry hand held pda's which often break down and its always great talking to the staff in the office.
Pros
Abundance of work available
Cons
Early starts some days

Most appauling place i have worked
Full Time Customer Service Advisor (Former Employee) - Tamworth - 18 September 2016
The only good thing was the pay, I thought it was pretty decent. The management however are absolute twits and have no common sense and do not contribute anything positive to the company. They have about 4 meetings a day that can last hours - pulling away staff making the floor short staffed for a needless amount of time. Also most meetings are to tell staff how bad things are and that no one is doing their job - this is so untrue its unreal. The customer service staff, control and recruitment all work as hard as they can understand stupidly stressed circumstances. there is NO support from management or team leaders with the exception of one. The turn over of staff is appalling yet the management do not understand why people hate working there. Having an opinion or a personality in this company is a no go, you will only be penalised for it. They hire staff (including management) that have no experience or knowledge of the industry and then provide no training - putting extreme pressure on the other staff.
I am so glad to be out of there - the company is pure poison. Unless your desperate, I advise to stay away for your own sanity.
Cons
long hours, poor management, no job security

owner driver / tamworth
Owner Driver (Current Employee) - Tamworth - 17 July 2016
Been working for this company now for 5 weeks as an owner driver.
i have to say i can't fault anything with them as it's down to you how long you want to work, earn.
There is plenty of driving all over the country and as long as you keep wanting the work they will try their best to keep feeding it to you.
office staff are friendly and helpful and will help you when you need it.
Pros
you can earn what you want
Cons
none for me.
