Travel the world and save some money!
Destination Leader (Former Employee) - Luxury Yacht - 8 May 2020
Working onboard a cruise ship is a great way to travel depending on the position you hold onboard.Time off is limited to hours rather than days and the working day can be very stressful.
That said, I have visited some amazing places during my ten years at seas, and enjoyed bucket-list worthy experiences that most people do not get the opportunity to do.
Wages are generally tax-free and you can save a lot of money.
Crystal are great at training their crew and have some of the highest standards in the industry.
Pros
Travel the world, great way to save, meet people from all cultures and backgrounds, learn many things about yourself and other people, confidence booster, learn new skills.
Cons
Long hours, shared living accommodation, away from home for up to 6 months at a time, disrupted sleep, demanding guests.

Waiter, Crystal Symphony
Wine server (Former Employee) - Constellation - 16 April 2019
Was unable to join the ship due to problem with flight, so I joined 2 days later. Seemed to me that they blamed me and were not helpful in welcoming new staff. No training and selfish team members unfortunately. Hard work expected but never any thanks. Left due to a mutual decision with a poor impression of a quality product
Pros
Crew Bar
Cons
Long Hours, creepy management
