Reviews about Pay & benefits for Operations Agent at DHL
Busy Workplace
Operations Agent (Current Employee) - Derby - 21 March 2020
It is very busy during the work hours, I work nights for DHL, from all my experiences it has been okay. However I think management could do with some massive improvement during the week nights as health & safety is never taken into concern on my work area, the issues are raised and nothing is ever done about it, but the weekend management is overall pretty satisfactory. The hardest part of your job is working with the equipment that is provided and the state of the health and safety of the work area. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the team, it is usually a laugh and that is usually the only way to get through the night sane.

Worth doing if you can get in with them.
Operations agent/courier (Former Employee) - Exeter - 24 January 2018
Back in the day, it was a fairly cool and prestigious job to be a DHL courier. Expansion and corporate culture has made it slightly less fun than the gung-ho days of the 90s, but they're still the best courier firm to work for by some stretch. Permanent contracts, good benefits and reasonable wages mean it's competitive to get in. But if you do, it's in a different league to the uncaring self-employed gig economy environment of DPD and UK Mail. The key is in the freight - high-value international document and parcels and a strong domestic customer base mean the company is strong. Highly recommended if you enjoy courier work.
Pros
Professional environment, opportunities for promotion.
Cons
A little bit soulless and corporate at times.
