Reviews for Dental Nurse at Damira Dental Studios
Friendly team and strong leadership
Trainee Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Hillcrest - 24 August 2023
I have been a dental nurse at Damira Hillcrest for 2 years now. I am still yet to qualify but nevertheless, Damira is a great company to kick start your career in dentistry. Pros: • Love the actual job (what it entails) • Practice manager is brilliant (goes above and beyond for her staff, the patients and the practice) • Get on well with most of my colleagues Cons: • No opportunities given to progress after qualifying • Short staffed often which can result in missing college (not ideal- catching up is hard) • Always seem to be short of materials and resources that we use on a daily basis (pouches, paper towels)

Work
Dental nurse (Current Employee) - Oxford - 2 August 2023
It is a busy stressful role but it is rewarding as the patients are nice. You do have to work at different practices in the company this can be stressful and makes you feel anxious of not knowing where you will be working this is the hardest part of the job The teams do get fed up of empty promises from the area manager the practice manager is very good and understands how we are feeling The pay is not good for the area as accommodation costs most of your pay
Pros
The team
Cons
Management and pay

Issue
Dental Nurse (Current Employee) - Oxford, Oxfordshire - 15 May 2023
I had always enjoyed my role and was thinking I’d stay with this company for a long time. Unfortunately it has recently had changes in management and it has become an uncomfortable place to work. Senior management has a very aggressive approach and doesn’t care about employees. This is a shame as it use to have a friendly feel. Many of my colleagues are leaving and it is a shame as we have nice patients and the place is in a good location
