A Mixed Bag
Depending on where you end up you could have an exciting fulfilling role, or you could end up somewhere learning nothing and unable to move elsewhere or get promotion.

Project Manager in South West

Good opportunities
As an organisation they are willing to support individual training and present opportunities to undertake professional qualifications. A soft landing for ex military who want to work in a known environment.

Management support
Management do not care about the welfare of staff, ex forces staff can not get there head around the idea that civilian staff are not boot licks. Pay bad compared to other sectors. Management know this but do not care as long as they are getting there fat pension. So many pointless training courses.
Procurement Officer in Glasgow, Glasgow

Good employer
Didn't realise at the time how good the department was to work for. Made lifetime friendships. Training was second to none, managers were generally very good & liked to develop their staff
