I would listen to my staff, treat them with respect and not make them feel devalued.
Discounts ant restaurants. Holiday pay
Try to keep hiring down to those who are fully capable riders and are actually using the job to survive rather than for some extra cash.
Build up sick/holiday pay from shifts, reward better/faster/more consistent riders
Free bike insurance.
I would push onto the restaurants to have their food ready when they suppose to, even if customers in there would have to wait for little bit. Rider is paid by delivery, so time is very important!
I would minimise the distance the cyclists have to travel in order to deliver the food to the customers. Booking slots are not so great as they are taken up by everybody if you don't book it on time which means no work and no salary = no stable income either. Riders should be able to see customers address when delivery is pending so you can see the distance between restaurant and customers address. Delivery cyclists should be paid abit more considering it takes alot of energy and effort to keep having to travel back and forth without any breaks.
