Multi Drop Courier Driver in Norwich
Overworked, underpaid, stressful!!!Seemed like a good job initially but the truth is it isn’t. If you’re an owner driver you will be left with very little of your weekly pay when considering van running costs, fuel! Putting money aside for tax/NI. If you rent a van it can be worse especially the extortionate costs for repairs. This is assuming you get a full weeks work currently getting about 3 days a week! The bonuses are group related so you’ll rarely see them and always the lowest tier! You will get concessions stopping you from receiving bonuses but will not be told what for? You are self employed and have to offer them your availability but they can cut your route with minimal notice and no guarantee of work. Throughout your day you have to report numerous issues with routing, maps, missing or damaged parcels but will never receive help if you have issues on the road! I can see how it was ok for those on thurlough looking for short term work and extra money during the pandemic but for anyone else considering it just DON’T DO IT!!! Original management appeared to care and try to help but recent managers are just doing their job and keeping favourites happy they don’t care about the drivers they manage/supervise they see us as disposable!!
