You can't get a better job plenty of hours plenty of work all over the country good management and planners excellent trailers on the dry bulk but there is one thing spoiling a really good job is doing 4 or 5 nights out a week in a Volvo FM with an aftermarket bed what's not fit for purpose one of the best jobs you could have apart from the truck in my opinion they are a health and safety issue

Hoined as a night driver. Found a very supportive office team, always available and willing to help no matter what the issue was. A lot to learn , but they take all the time tou need. A good company to work for.

Toxic Workplace

Had the unfortunate experience of working here. Management toxic, will overload with work and then blame you for not being able to manage. Some colleagues were great to work with, others were just a complete drain of the soul acting like everyone was a threat to them. Witnessed complete jealousy from certain colleagues to other women on a daily basis. Came to find over 35 people left in a short space of time. When you speak out about the problems they act surprised and completely deflect, never take any responsibility at all. Thankfully my time there was short. Don't make the mistake!!

Slowly getting worse

This job was amazing when I first started and was genuinely very good work but scince then things have fallen apart planning is non existent Management try there best but to no avail Could of been a deadman’s shoes job but let down by poor planning and empty promises

It’s very different from any other transport company. Very much a family feel to the business and positive company culture. They genuinely care about their people. Solid core values. No them and us, good driver/office relationships.

Toxic

Planners can't plan. Management 2 faced and a few back stabbing drivers. Watch out for the constant lies. If you have to pay for anything it will take 7 weeks to get it back

If I was to lie as much as this company they would have sacked me.To many yes men and that's why you can't make any headway.What your told we don't push or expect the unexpected is a load of rubbish, the planners haven't a clue young girls planning not a good idea.

Den hartogh or nothing

Good job was happy with the work. Planning is the worst I've ever seen it has alot of room for improvement but communication let's it down drastically. Management will listen but do nothing to improve it. Stress is due to the planners unable to use a phone the year is 2021 transport runs on comunication this is were den hartogh let them selves down in a massive way.

Family run company

HGV chemical driver (Current Employee) - Middlesbrough - 16 April 2021

Very driver friendly, the company has a few nice touches for example they send you a birthday and Xmas card along with Easter and Xmas presents, it might not be much for some but for a lot its a nice thought.. not forgetting a nice annual bonuse if you "behave yourself" ie.. drive well..Can't see myself moving on from here unless something serious goes wrong....
