Dental Partners UK Employee Review

Don’t bother!

I worked at Genesis Dental Care which was taken over by Dental Partners, I hadn’t signed any contracts but my annual leave was decreased by 5 days (from 25 to 20). We were constantly low staff and low stock, we were forced to have meetings/training sessions during our lunch breaks (which was our only break in the day), lunch breaks SHOULD BE A BREAK from anything work related. The pay was so low and the overall training was so bad that everyone would end up leaving. We were overworked, we had no cleaner at the practice and instead of advertising they asked us dental nurses to clean the practice e.g polish, hoover mop and clean the public toilets and public spaces which was NOT part of our job description. In the space of around 2 years we had about 6 different practice managers as they kept leaving or getting fired. We had one problem with a dentist who was over friendly, we reported him but nothing got done about it. I was so lucky to get out and I feel sorry for anyone still working there. The higher management who work at the head office say it’s the ‘Best place to work’ but if you ask any of the dental nurses running around mentally and physically tired on low pay, I think they’d disagree.

Cons

Long hours, training and meetings on your lunch breaks, low pay
