The work was relatively simple once you got used to the methods used
Flexi time was a good aspect, the pay rate wasn't that competitive but the pension compensated for this. The emphasis was always on teamwork when I first started however after about 18 months this changed and everyone was issued with benchmarks (or "aspirations" as management called them) which were basically there to get rid of people due to the then government's farcical "austerity" programme of cuts
Pros
Flexitime
Cons
Bad rate of pay

Was an eye opener
We all have a view of the unemployed, its a very different story at the sharp end, the staff on the whole bend of backwards to aid people back into work, even the ones that did not want work, alas they where hampered by rules and regs every step of the way.
Pros
Great job satisfaction
Cons
poor salary
