Technology Analyst (Former Employee) - London - 20 September 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedEnjoyed working here, people are nice, global mobility is hard but internal mobility is easy. Would work there again, but things move slowly with many meetings

solid Company
Analyst (Former Employee) - London East, Greater London - 19 September 2023
Great Company to learn and get exposure to all types of positions, with the possibility to move across departments. Good technology, unfortunately, through 2022 was a round of layoffs

Insights into Deutsche Bank
What people like
- Ability to meet personal goals
- Feeling of personal appreciation
- Ability to learn new things
Areas for improvement
- Support from manager
Good people but stressful environment
Finance Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 10 September 2023
There is high demand to get work done quickly in a limited space of time, always working to deadlines and management goals, some purely egotistical. Expectations are high which is character building and you do learn a lot in a short space of time. The people make the place and collaboration is generally ok, however you do get the odd self serving senior manager which can affect the wider culture.

London office divestment
IT Manager (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 March 2023
Most infra and tech work being offshored. Very little space left for promotion in the London office. Cost cutting measures means difficulty onboarding tools and resources.
Pros
Flexible working arrangements
Cons
Little possibility of promotion

Good people but too much bureaucracy
Project Manager (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 17 March 2023
Individually the staff were generally very skilled, nice people, but the business suffers from bureaucracy. Different areas, even ones that should need to work closely don't always communicate with each other.

Good company to work for.
KYC Associate (Current Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 7 March 2023
Great company to work for. You do have to work harder then other companies and you do actually feel the stress and workload from management. You do have to prove that you are capable of doing the work day in day out. You do get rewarded abd appreciated. Great management who are very supportive who will help and push you in thr right direction.
Pros
Great work life balance, people are amazing. Management is very supportive.
Cons
Longer hours compared to other companies, takes longer to progress.

truly terrible organisation
Programme Manager (Vice President) (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 21 January 2023
Poor management. No opportunity for advancement. Only mandatory regulatory training is available. Huge pressure to work long hours and weekends. 0230 calls for crisis management unacknowledged. Bonus is a joke. HR policies very demotivatobal and NOTHING works properly.
Pros
no pros to working here
Cons
long hours, zero growth opportunity, poor management

Poor team structure
Early Careers Talent Acquisition Analyst (Former Employee) - London - 25 November 2022
Enjoyed meeting the targets set. Worked with wonderful stakeholders from other departments. Team structure and unreasonable workload caused anxiety and when i spoke up in the hope for support......my contract was terminated within 48 hours with pay. I had hoped for support as a contractor but I guess that was a fools dream.

Jobs at Deutsche Bank
stressful
HR (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 25 November 2022
Stressful, fast paced, over-worked. management never listened to the issues, would say they will make changes and didnt. not worth your mental health at all.

Can move up quickly if you work hard and smart
VP (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 27 October 2022
Busy on BAU and projects due to process changes/automation, but it is also opportunity, if you prove yourself, you can move up quickly. Great benefits with 30 days holidays, and generous pension match up, generous free childcare.

Great work culture and kind people.
Technology, Data and Innovation Intern (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 23 March 2022
I interned there in the technology division and it was amazing. They include you as a part of their team and everyone is so nice. It is obvious they hire on the basis of diversity and how nice of a person you are as well as the smartest people. So I learned so much in a short amount of time. My manager cared a lot even though I was just an intern.

Competitive and results driven.
Director Sales (Former Employee) - Europe - 18 February 2022
Worked in the Asset Management division, and it was obvious that what I did was replicated by others within the group, with an emphasis on "winner stays on".... hence why other teams were downsized when I outperformed them.
Pros
paid extremely well
Cons
my role was special, I travelled a huge amount and spent at least 3 days a week away from home, working from 7am till past 9pm on a regular basis, sometimes past midnight... client facing.

Relaxed workplace but strange group dynamic
Software Developer (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 11 January 2022
Very relaxed 9-5 culture but siloed rather than global teams meaning specific locale based teams such as Russia got all the best work. There is a tendency for lone rather than team working.
Pros
Salary can be matched if you get a better offer
Cons
For tech the teams are skewed

Overall good place to work with lot of opportunities to grow.
Operations Manager (Current Employee) - London - 3 January 2022
Good place to work as management listens to staff feedback and try to take timely actions where possible. Bank doesn’t have state of art technology yet so staff often have to fix system related issues manually that some times causes frustration among the staff members.
Pros
Good benefit, Flexibility in working from home or office, Good support for staff mental and physical well-being
Cons
decision and execution of infrastructure change program takes ages.
