Management should keep away from dev daily tasks
Current climate is to transform the bank into a new and efficient organisation which manages risk better. Loss making at present but looking to change that.
Good job security.
Large and inefficient. Long term employees often unmotivated or obstructive.
The place has both pros and cons, it's open plan and you have the chance to talk to senior leadership. The middle management is bulging and lot of competition.
access to leadership & fairly transparent plans
Processes are outdated and inadequate
DB is a nice place to work if you need work life balance and flexibility, but expect very demanding workload and expectancy to join meetings on Skype at little or no notice and anytime of the day during Monday to Friday. DB is not for the faint hearted, its a fast pace buzzing atmosphere with lots of energy in the air
Useless partners that cannot deliver
Challenging and Competitive, pockets of excellence good benefits international exposure. multi cultural. very diverse in terms of work opportunities..
Amazing place to work for. New learning everyday. Because of the size of the organisation, a lot of collaboration is needed with different teams, which helps you learn the art of influencing and negotiating along with technical skills, new processes, frameworks.
Firstly I must say Deutsche Bank is a great play to be and work if you live within Birmingham or the surrounding area. My only concern for the organisation is it does not pay its employees fairly especially when they are being promoted. They are usually on the lower end of the promoted wage band or higher band of their previous corporate title. To get fair pay I would advise you work there for 1-2 years and then go external before coming back to get the salary you do deserve.
