Well looked after
I have worked at DFS for 7 years and recently made redundant due to restructuring. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would recommend them as a great employee. It can be hard work at times and difficult calls to handle but I still enjoyed it. COVID changed the way of working and the role changed to reflect this. They look after you financially and my manager has always supported me when needed.

Used to be a great company
After 18yrs service, made redundant to move admin to a call centre as this is what customers want.I disagree, customers still like the personal touch, being able to contact the store they ordered from. That's why we had repeat shoppers, not sure this will still happen anymore and customer service will suffer. They now just care about the initial sale, after that the service goes down and no one takes ownership of any issues. Was a great company when i first joined, staff are now just a number and easily replaced or disposed of.

Unorganised for a big company
Salary doesn’t match the work load. Management within the company, not necessarily the store, can be unsupportive. No support provided to staff when there was no manager for nearly a year ! Just left to deal with everything

Quite Disappointed
The company has no sense of empathy for people facing struggles with mental health or discrimination. The company have a system that only works for those in higher positions. They have ok work benefits and discounts but it doesn’t take away from the poor staff management and genuine duty of care.

Staff satisfaction
Don't know 1 person working at DFS who is not actively looking to leave. You will be trat like a nobody, no one in management will listen to any problems. Possibly management have been promoted above their ability. Thing more likely, if you can just say YES SIR, instead of having an option, manager material

They ask a lot of questions about you to find out what kind of person you are as full training is provided. They are looking for energetic people that can think fast in stressful situations.
