Stressful job, poor management, long shifts, basic pay. A lot of things covered in training didn't actually apply when working individually. No support.
I worked here for 4 months, the training process is awful you have to pass 3 assessments to qualify for the job even though you have been offered it after the interview, if you fail the assessments you loose your job. You are watched throughout your shift. You do not get your last months pay if you leave within the probation period. Very fast paced calls can be very long winded but they want you to rush them to get a good productivity. You are not entitled to a break if you work less than 6 hours only a toilet and make a cup of tea break how ever you don’t get time to drink your tea. Would not recommend.
A professional environment with great staff very respectful. The only downside about this job is that its very low pay considering the nature of the job the salary is quite low.
To say that DHU are on a massive recruitment drive they don't seem to do much to keep the new staff there. They support you massively through training but once you are on your own that's it the support is gone and they will find any reason to get rid of you during your probation. They have a very strict sickness policy and you are penalised for following it and constantly reminded you could loose your job. The company is for to target focused to say that are suppose to be looking after patients, force you to cut you call times down. Make you worry about how much support you're reaching out for but tell you to reach out for it, make you worry if you send for an ambulance for a patient even though that's what the system tell you what to do and you are always being told to follow the system! You are constantly given conflicting information, one work place coach will tell you one thing and another something different. Oh and you was expected to arrive at work 15 minutes early to work for free, and read through updates and emails before being allowed to take called which you was expected to do at your start time as your phones make busy codes are monitored 24/7. It is like big brother, amount of times you make a coffee or go the the toilet is even monitored!
Very stressful. Not very supportive management. Poor wage. Good training. Long hours. Live breathe and dream the company and you'll be fine. Staff aren't very welcoming to new staff
