Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant specializing in Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings. Originally founded in Taiwan as a cooking oil retail business in 1958, Din Tai Fung was reborn as a steamed dumpling and noodle restaurant in 1972. Giving back to the community is important to us, and we offer our employees monthly opportunities to volunteer their time through our Community Outreach program. In the last year we partnered with Baby2Baby and Feeding America to offer employees team-building volunteer days to serve their communities. During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, each Din Tai Fung restaurant donated 150 meals per week to local hospitals and front line workers, resulting in a total of 39 hospitals receiving assistance, and over 27,800 meals donated.
