Fantastic culture
HR Manager (Current Employee) - Hammersmith - 31 May 2019
Discovery education UK has a fantastic culture, people are very passionate about what they do, improving student outcomes across both the UK and International.
Employees and visitors always comment on the warm and friendly environment. Teams socialise outside of work and there is lots of opportunity to collaborate across depts. There are lots of people who started in one dept and since switched careers.
We always strive to hire top talent and look within the organisation to promote where we can, the office is small enough that your efforts will be seen. There are also global opportunities in our other offices. We have a fantastic learning culture and people like sharing knowledge to help others.
The benefits are exceptional, free healthcare, 4 x salary life assurance, income protection, bonus tied to company performance, generous employer contributory pension, fresh fruit, subsidised massage on site, free social committee events, as well as the usual things like season ticket loan, cycle to work scheme, free eye tests.
Pros
Exceptional benefits and a nice culture.
Cons
There is always more to do than the hours in a day
