Great company but terrible management
Disney are a great company but hampered by some of the worst management teams i've ever worked for, very quick to blame and punish but never take responsibility. I've never been in a place where year on year they would come up with new ways of creating chaos in the xmas peak, really not caring for the hourly paid employees as long as targets were met.....it's the only place I've worked where the longer you work there you just can't wait to find a way of getting out, or even just staying in bed and calling in sick.Guest Service Assistant in Manchester City Centre, Greater Manchester

Constantly trying to push extra products on customer.
Hate how you would be penalised if you didn't try and upsell other products in store even when the questionnaire had already spent hundreds of pounds. During my first week I was expected to tell the store manager what the item of the week was, I hadn't been told it would be advertised in the changing room so didn't see it. And was given a coating.Sales Assistant in United Kingdom

Avoid
THE most stressfull experience of my life!!! If you want to advance in the company...you cant. If you want to feel wanted at work...you wont! Too many cliques between people and if you aren't part of one you're going to have a bad time. I worked here for a couple of years and i dont know why i haven't left sooner! You can work your hardest everyday and get no recognition for doing so. Management are a joke! they all have different ways of running things, so its a constant battle of being told something is wrong or right, depending on who you're working with. Only perk to the job is the park pass. Constant shift changes without being asked, so don't plan your weeks out because they'll put you on a shift without asking. I got little to no training at all when i started it was basically just copy what everyone else is doing. There will be times where you're asked to do FAR too many tasks that will be impossible to do correctly with the time you get given to do them in. All in all stay away from this toxic work environment. Senior Cast Member in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Amazing place to work
Great store to work in with amazing management team. Amazing benefits and perks in the job and you get to help spread the Disney magic everyday. The store is beautifully designed with trees and characters painted on the walls too. As well as some local landmarks. What would you say about your employer?
