Toxic Management and huge worker turnover

very slow-paced outside of rush hours. management is very toxic and demanding over shift patterns and holidays. very high staff turnover because of the treatment by management. Poor mileage pay; at one point, fuel was more expensive than the milage pay, so it costs money to deliver. Not bad as a first job out of school but be prepared for wear and tear on your car. Being alone whilst delivering was probably the best part of the job, tips from customers were nice as well

Pros

Free pizza after every shift, working alone when busy

Cons

strict management, little training, poor mileage that doesnt cover fuel and wear

Overall a good place to work.

Good place to work, shift patterns could use a change as it is very weird and you have no work-life balance. Lots of benefits and friendly staff.....

Pros

free coffee, friendly staff, job stability

Cons

Long hours days and nights

Only good for friends of the managers

Good schedules are taken for the manager's friends (same country) and nobody wants to stay to close the shop. Could be better managed for all. Good luck.

Good Company

Good job easy going. Management always there to help. Rota was late being sent out but most drivers know what they are doing every week so doesn’t make any difference

Fast paced environment

Overall my experience as a delivery driver was good, during less busy times you are expected to do other activities such as cleaning and other in store duties which makes sense, you are not paid to sit. You have to be able to work under pressure but you get used to it.

Pros

Free food and discounts, also bonus for each delivery.

Cons

Long shifts

Loved it

I worked for dominos for years on and off as a customer service representative and delivery driver. I honestly loved it and made some really good friends along the way.

Pros

Free food

Cons

Often gets busy and sometimes stressful

Not worth the time

Avoid working here. Job is very tedious and boring. No benefits or progression. Management would give the best deliveries to the drivers they got on the most with.

pointless job

you will spend more on petrol than you get beck in delivery fees guaranteed, i didn't think minimum wage was worth it, was under MW after expenses so quit, unless if you are desperate then avoid

Fast-paced environment but easy when you start tp understand, biased management tho

There's a lot to remember and you are thrown in at the deep end at first.. Management at my store was very biased with giving shifts/ allowing shifts off and made rotas to fit their social lives.. Most of the staff were genuine ppl but worked into the ground.. bad pay at the start ( was minimum wage) but got a pay rise after ppl complained.. ended up at 7.50 under 18s, 9.00 at 18.. not bad..

Pros

free pizza on dayshift or close lots of kind colleagues

Cons

no one covers ever hard to get certain shifts off lots of pressure put on you tense on busy shifts

Work is enjoyable, but it will kill your car

I enjoyed the work, but the amount of wear and tear on your own car, if you are a delivery driver, is quite high. Each pizza delivered gets you an extra £1 as a fuel payment. This £1 per delivery usually just about covers petrol costs but I have occasionally been at a loss for petrol. Even with rising petrol costs and even though they now charge customers a delivery fee, this has not meant a fuel pay increase which has apparently stayed the same for about 10 years. The standard rate of pay is decent enough considering how easy the job is, normally 50p above minimum wage. But even with the fuel money and any tips you make, it will never cover the cost of damages your car will gain just due to wear and tear.

Pros

staff discount, easy job, keep your own tips

Cons

petrol payment just isn't enough

Fun work place

Good job overall and an easy job but there’s no job security, you could have 60 hours one week and only 10 hours the week after and weekend work is a must

They are hiring to many people for fulltime job and they give work just 7 to 10 hours in whole week.

Domino's still hiring workers but they don't have hours to work they just cheat people's. If Domino's have no hour than why are they still hiring workers.

Fast paced environment

Enjoyable company to work for. Fast paced environment and they have upped the fuel pay in recent times, to assist drivers with extra costs. Shifts are good and management are fair

Good if you are a student

Easy job to get, only problem is zero hours, will ask you to come in then send you home if no orders come in so hard to plan time off. If you work hard and do a good job the only reward you get is extra hours during the day when it is less busy, that is a joke because the only reason I had the job was that I was at uni and needed the day to study. It is stupid that the only reward is extra hours rather than placing a premium on hard hours, delivery is obvs alot harder on a Sat night football game than a tuesday lunchtime, pay your workers a few £ more an hour for peak times and don't reward them with extra work when the store is dead because this does not benefit the company or the driver.

Keeps u busy

Decent place to work when at college. Pays the bills. Hours can vary however u will get about 3 days a week. Wouldn't recommend for full time work but part time it's decent

Fun job

Fun Job with nice people the only downside js that the hours are terrible you do not have finish times and are expected to work late regularly. If you are a night owl you will love it

Pros

Free lunch

Cons

Late nights

C1 hgv delivery driver Milton Keynes

As delivery driver you can expect long days, extra drops added to your route, changes of your route or start time in last minute. No respect to your family/social life. They pay you good money but also they think you are living to work:(Whatever happened management will blame you. You gonna loos your Yearly bonus for silly reasons like damage to the mould flaps when reversing to v narrow bays or store complain. Get a summer holiday is also impossible, max 2 weeks and 4 drivers per day!! Avoid if you can

Pros

None

Cons

Too much to describe

Awful place to work in

The managers reduce your hours on the system so you get paid less than you worked for. My manager also lied to me about getting a pay rise, even when I worked there for a year I was getting paid the same amount as I did when I started. I wouldn't recommend anyone working there, even Mcdonalds is better.
