Typical council
Its OK. Everyone is very nice and helpful to each other. Management varies considerably depending on which team/department. Some are truly awful. Not mean or nasty just over worked, under resourced so things don't get dealt with properly. My experience of inductions is poor. They don't have enough time to spend showing you how to do your job so you have to make it up and do your best. To be fa...

Great training and support packages
I worked for Dorset council for approximately 10 years. There was lots of training and networking opportunities. There were a lot of changes during my time employed with Dorset Council. We allHad to re apply for our jobs at least 3 times which was pretty stressful at the time.

Fun place to work
The site I worked at was a fun place to work, could be stressful on groups arrival days but other than that it was a good day, management on the site are excellent and always listened to any issues I had both work or not work related, I learned a lot in my position at an outdoor centre, working with a varied range of children from varied walks of life was a really good part of the job.
