Was at the Witham St Hughes depot under a franchise for 2 months and it was genuinely terrible... And an absolute shambles. No uniform, no one knows what date they are getting paid Had to send my pay details over a txt message struggle to get pay slips after asking day after day... No Contract. Majority of the vans are in a complete mess gears not working no oil ect. no vehicle checksheets... Fuel cards are a complete mess and once had to pay for fuel out of my own pocket!! All your parcels are in a big pile mixed up with other people's parcels in the morning with minimal space. without fail you will have missing parcels and even be searching for hours for a poxy parcel thats on the other side of the warehouse. Never been a job where I want to quit everyday.
Management don't know whats going on and seemed as confused as everyone else... This review is to the best of my knowledge. If there was anything good to say I would but thekr isn't unfortunately.
I’m currently working out of DPD Irlam
It’s full of bullies I’ve argued with loads of them you can only be bullied if you let them bully you!!
Harassment and bullying from shift managers to drivers. Calls whilst out on delivery trying to put more work on an already tight schedule causing you extreme stress. Some drivers have even had accidents. DPD refuse any responsibility.
Questioned about every decision and movement you make.
Gestapo-esque.
Bullies, bullies oh and bullies. DPD think anyone can do any job and give buffoons jobs in management. Was a great company to work for. But standards are dropping like a stone. Avoid
Highly toxic culture set from the top everyone is expendable. And no employee support. I would give zero stars. The amount of lies from management to franchisee owners is a joke! Try and make u work for free. My earnings less than min wage because of 4 day work week been enforced. Resulting in me handing my notice in managers didnt care at all.
There is not an organisational culture at DPD not unless you take into account the only organisation that benefits DPD and completely disregards all of its drivers and warehouse staff.
Profit and growth focused
Terrible. Because promotion in the company is based on how good a friendship you have with your manager and not on how good you are at your job. The company also likes to get managers in who have never had any transport or logistics experience. Until DPD re-evaluate there recruitment and internal promotion, then this company will end up like city link. All the company thinks about is reaching a £1 billion
profit and not it’s workers.
They are a focused company on providing the best experince for everyone.
Awful company
Right from the top
Bad management all bullies
People leaving week in week out and this includes directly employed staff management and odfs
Do not go there !!!!!!!!!
Help jobseekers learn about the company by being objective and to the point.
