Okay but no progression

Poor management but other than that easy work multi drop if you aren’t lazy. Okay pay I suppose but no incentives and management are unorganised and lazy

Unprofessional and no work life balance

They expect you to work like robots with barely any breaks. Worst company I have ever worked for. No work like balance. Can’t take time off for appointments. Managers don’t do any work and wide g team members to do everything

Hard work but pay is good

Good place to work. Pays better than all other couriers. Can be very demanding and during busy periods very long hours. Been here a long time and am still enjoying it

Pros

Good pay

Cons

Can be stressful

Good company

An okay place to work. Pay for the initial 8 hours disappointing. Good money kicks in after 8 hours 45 minutes (due to deducted break) if you are lucky to get more hours.

Customer service

One of the worst companies I've ever worked for took the time and effort to train me just to sack me after two weeks saying it's a "no fault redundancy" as they greatly overestimated the amount of work they would have available leaving me in a right mess just before Christmas looks like I'm going to have two very disappointed children this Christmas unless a miracle happens so thanks dpd thanks for nothing!!

Pros

Free hot drinks

Cons

Bad management

Hate it

Not a nice place to with. I think it's a terrible place work in. Micromanagement is the worst there and managers treat you poorly. Do not work there. OK

Management has no idea

The shift managers and management will pick its favourites. The ones they don’t like will be working until late afternoon with stupid routes that make 0 sense but the ones they like will get away with murder. They pick and choose when they want to imply there rules e.g when it benefits them best. Get treated like children will have you looking for a parcel the size of a envelope across the whole depot, you better hope you can find it because they won’t let you go until you basically have 10 minutes to get to your first stop wich could be 20 miles away through peak times and if u won’t make it in time for your first window. They will make u re route your whole route forcing you to unload and re load your van in correct order. What happens to the parcel u can’t find I hear you ask… well it gets passed to the other driver on the route wich basically leads them into the same situation… I’ve seen grown men cry at this place because of how bad it is you go home anxious not knowing what the next day will hold in store for you and that’s just the tip of the ice berg… avoid at all costs

Pros

They give you u uniform and take your vehicle home

Cons

Ridiculous hours and bad management

Walking on eggshells

A good job and very easy work but unfortunately made much more difficult by poor management and planning. It’s a fair salary with very good opportunity to earn more with the overtime. If you don’t mind sitting around for 3 to 4 hours then being asked to do a 12 hour run go for it.Don’t expect any appreciation but to be asked plenty of favours. It’s very clicky and just a matter of if your face fits, you say yes to everything they ask or have a relative in there, which is all very common. It’s very common practice that a driver will run out of hours and you will be recovered (you will need to drive recovery vehicle back yourself). It’s all well and good until you say no to something and the first thing you do wrong you will be out the door, no second chance. Most of fleet very old but legal. It’s a decent package in total but poor poor management planning, no chance of anyone answering the phone if you have a problem.Too many drivers looking to report fellow colleagues to management.

Pros

A good package

Cons

Management

Poor management

Poorly managed by people who don’t have a clue about how to improve their skills or how to improve the people who they are in charge of . If you want to spend your time creeping around your manager then you will get on but if you have more qualifications and knowledge you are on a downward spiral.

Pros

Free uniform

Cons

Poor man management skill

Not nice

Company now much to big! It's no wonder they can't get drivers or they don't stay long. Drivers suffer long Q's to sort paper work...inn & off site movements. The pay is rubbish, you are not treated or spoken to with any respect. To many inexperienced youngsters in charge plus the usual rubbish planners. If you do something wrong, although through no fault of your own (in some cases), they still want to make a huge issue of it and punish you. Loading bay's are very tight and no matter how large they build the new hubs, they are never big enough! Plenty more to say but better stop now :-)

Pros

None

Cons

You have to live there to earn a fair wage. To many poor speaking foreigners

Warehouse worker

OMG what a farce from start to finish ! They over promise and under deliver to get you to accept a job there . Pay is good but nothing else is a positive . Expect you to get home no matter what time during the night you finish

Pros

Pay

Cons

Decent place to work

Growth minded, dedicated employees, well-being focused. It is a company that walks the talk in regards to work life balance and focuses on a healthy workforce both mentally and physically.

Employers are rude and discrimatory

The line supervisors and managers only care about numbers. You are just another number to for their liking. Never give you credit but also discredit. Got sent home when work was low maybe cause of my skin colour cause they would never send home someone within their own racial category. It just open a door for discrimination. Very upsetting within this modern era

Multi-drop driver

Early starts, I had to be punctual or else there were few drops on my route. Hardest part of the job getting in and out of the van in the time frame given

Don’t touch

Don’t go near this company bad in every aspect your just a number full of false promises pay depends on route and all good ones are taken. Only on 4 day week forcing you to work a weekend to make your money
