Very physical you were supposed to have had help loading but hardly got it. Time restraints management had their favourites and you could waste an hour waiting in the high value queue.

Fast Paced and Well Paid

Fast paced, well paid and never a dull day. Not for everyone. High staff turnover (especially in the warehouse, as not everyone is adapatable as is required for this environment)

Nice place but there is a culture of a tight groups

Some of the people are to clicked together and most are close friends or relatives. I temped there and some people there like to remind you of that power as gone to there heads. Free lunches sometimes if they included you. Don't get me wrong there is some nice people there

Good job

Been at DPD through the agency. Easiest HGV job about. Relaxed and just trunking work. Most 1 collection a day. Old trucks but that never bothered me.

Pros

Good crew of people, relaxed. Not stressful at all

Cons

Really strict on some silly rules

Productive

Shift management is very poor as concerns agency workers. Shifts cancellations without notifying neither agencies or drivers who end up return home unpaid for the day.

Pros

Good driving hours

Unstable shift patterns

Hub 3 Oldbury

No job security at all, I had to stop in a service being solo and trying to call to get a permission to stop and off course nobody answered, I had to go at toilet and I was suspended 1 month and after that they sacked me for this, if you looking for a good job avoid DPD,I understand they sacked drivers for any stupid reasons, one of the manager's it was a stobart driver before and planner's are the worst like their filthy stinky truck's.

Pros

Money, uniform

Cons

Long hours, bad attitude from planner's and manager's1.000.0000 km truck's.

Bad management

Bad management, they single out certain employees by putting them on a job where it required more than one person, good and loyal employees are leaving or getting dismissed which I think is very unfair.... Furthermore the management are having relationships with employees and promoting them e even though they have no experience.

Pros

Some where you can use the facilities to wash and eat

Cons

Not issued ppe when needed

Good money, but Stressful work

you can earn good enough money if you can work hard. but no matter what and how you try to do it this job with definitely give you stress such is the nature of parcel distribution business. but if you have decided to go into parcel delivery business the DPD is not a very bad choice. For a person who wants to have a good time with a franchise and looking for lovely hard work you gona love while earning, you got to be careful. people are always there to pull you down, you will see very less compassion and loads of politics and hypocrisy. though it may not be obvious to see but there is a big favoritism in company. DPD provides opportunity to up to different and better ranks in company but, even if you have a Master Degree you may not become a Shift Manager, rather they would just randomly make a part time warehouse operative, helper or cleaner a shift manager in a day, because it wouldn't hurt a Ego of the higher management. But, you can earn good money, you don't need and college or university degrees to work here, without ever been to college you can earn about £30,000 you don't need any special skills, only a clean Driving Licence and have to be good at delivering parcels with company standards. and sometimes you have to be able to carry 30 plus Kg parcels too. Verdict: not one of the best jobs, but for some people its could be just amazing Good Luck

Pros

Earning potential.

Cons

mornings full of stress, very bad management, earning potential leading to hypocrisy at work place in many different ways, very bad work place politics leading to favoritism.

Racist management structure.

Even though there are a couple of lower level Asian managers on the night shift now, they are puppets and were only appointed because potential customers asked the question why all the management were white middle class. When I worked on the shop floor there were Asian and black deckhands who has degrees, yet they were overlooked and for management positions and progression In favour of outside applicants simply because the outside applicants were white. Some of the outside applicants didn't have a clue what they were doing and their appointment was an absolute joke. Most of the managers are only working here because of who they know (somebody's godson etc.) or have usually been management failures at other companies.

Pros

What pros?

Cons

Racist management structure

Very Hard Work

Most nights I worked 10-14 hours a night. Throw you from different job roles, need to be very versatile and fit to work there. Management isn't the best as they just want you to break your back to clear the lorry's.
