Treated like a Robot.
Ok place to work for, if your face fits. Managers don't have a clue and will talk down to you. No respect to drivers your just a number, parcels are more important than your well being and health. Wages are good and also benefits packages. Be prepared to be suspended and sacked for the slightest thing, this is how they deal with it as they know your not that important and an easy way out just to sack you especially if you been with them for years. BE Warned!!
Pros
Wages, benefits
Cons
Managers, stinky cabs

Very good place to work
Very good place to work.Good money, light job. Normally route is good planed in advance, but in this industry things are happen, so sometimes need to work in little rush. Always legal and safe at first place of course.Vehicles - mainly Mercedes Actros units, from brand new ones to 10 years old. Some brand new DAF's XF. If you show you can keep unit tidy outside/inside, you will get some fresh one allocated to you. Well maintained fleet.
Pros
Good money, benefits, fresh units
Cons
None

A Very Good And Exciting Company To Work For
I'm an experienced LGV driver who now works for DPD Linehaul from the Durham depot. This is the best LGV job I've had, management are polite, efficient and respectful - very different to 'haulage'!! The pay rates are excellent and the benefits are like nothing I've had in the past; hampers, Xmas perks, diaries etc. I've worked in transport for 30 years and this is the cleanest, best rewarded and most dynamic place I've worked - they actually say 'thank you"!!, beats being ignored in the 'old school' transport offices. Only one suggestion, communication between departments at the Hub could be improved - DPD, highly recommended
Pros
Terms and Conditions, Positive Culture, Huge International Presence With Security
Cons
None
