Not the best but certainly not the worst
Waitress (Former Employee) - London - 12 March 2018
I've worked for D&M for a considerable amount of time and now that I've left and worked in other places as a waitress I feel bad for how often I used to complain about this place. Whilst the salary won't be ideal for the kind of customers you have in this company (you are paid minimum wage + service charge which will often be taken off the bill at the customer's request), this company is very flexible with routers and it gives you a considerable amount of free time that you won't have in many places. The only two bad things I'd point out would be the time that it closes and the demands from bookings that sometimes will require extra work from waitresses which I thought was really unfair like moving heavy furniture and staying until ungodly hours. The staff as well as the management is the best I've experienced in my many years as a waitress, the work environment is VERY healthy !!!
Pros
Management, Staff, work quality
Cons
salary, bookings demands, staff food is often dry and cold

Waiter (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 30 January 2018
The sipping room is still in its early stages of business therefore it is under constant change and analysis, this first year is crucial to establish itself as a contender, fight for presence amongst the busy Canary Wharf crowd. It requires great customer service skill to cope with the ever changing atmosphere
Pros
daily incentives
Cons
Very long hours

Waitress (Current Employee) - Bristol, Bristol - 9 February 2017
On a daily basis I deal with a wide range of customers learning to adapt to fit there needs. Team work is a massive part of my job to ensure great customer service throughout ones experience. Professionalism is a must as you are constantly in the public eye. This job can be long hours on your feet but can be very rewarding when getting great customer feedback. Customer satisfaction is a must and we do have really lovely customers.
Pros
can earn great tips
Cons
long hours
