The people are friendly, the parking and meals are a bonus but wages are low in relation to other jobs in a similar role. You can earn more working for local companies than you can at a big establishment like Ramsay.

Productive company

Love working at the Duchy Hospital, Truro. I have just started a new role having worked in the same role for 5.5 years and needed a change to learn more. My Manager is so supportive, it is unbelievable. Nothing is too much trouble and who will always go the extra mile to ensure I and the team want for nothing and I/we know we can always ask for help which is great!

Pros

Lunches are great cooked on the premises by a superb catering team.

Not bad for a summer job but it was very understaffed and there wasn't a lot of training. At times it got very busy and it was tough for one person to deal with.

Great working environment

I really enjoyed working for the Duchy hospital, everyone was helpful and happy to help. Patient care was top priority and I loved being a part of it.great training opportunities and the manager was supportive and was encouraging if there was something you were interested in improving on or learning new experiences and gaining knowledge.

My time at Duchy working as a cleaner was very pleasant great work colleges. Friendly staff throughout the whole building. There 25th silver anniversary for the staff was a great event.

Managers unprofessional, bullying culture and no loyalty to staff. Staff encouraged to gossip to managers and belittle other members of staff. Nothing will get done if you are bullied.

Everyone works as a part of a team and most people are a joy to work with. Good culture with everyone accepting that responsibilities are shared amongst the team.
