Refuse/Recycling Driver (Current Employee) - Castle Douglas - 12 February 2020
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedStart 0730 finish about 1400. Can be enjoyable if weather is ok. Used to be a laugh. What is wrong now is that too many KMA's are bosses. They forget they were one of us(WORKERS). Too much cover up if your face fits. Great job went wrong.

Depending on which service you work for can be great. Leisure & Sport is one of the better services to work for. Good team members and all pull together when needed
Pros
Good to work for
Cons
depends on contracted hours can be early start or late finish but not really a con

Ok place to work
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Dumfries and Galloway - 31 January 2019
Ok place to work, people on the ground all try their best, but management don't know their jobs and don't care about those below them, look elsewhere if you want to advance.
Pros
Ok pay
Cons
management

A great team to work for
Domestic Assistant (Current Employee) - Domestic assistant - 7 August 2018
I loved this job, it was jso st time for a change for me. Was lack of organisation I didn’t like Rotas were always different so sometimes you didn’t know wot u were working the next week until a Friday after shift. Which made it hard to make appointments dentist etc which. U would then need time off for.
Pros
Meeting new people
Cons
Unusual work shifts bad organisation of Rotas

Not good career advancement opportunities
Clerical Assistant (Current Employee) - Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway - 28 June 2018
If you have values and stick up for yourself in the workplace then D&G Council May not be the employer for you. Very much “jobs for the boys” and if your face fits you will go far. If not, you’ll be getting appearance money and not at the best rate.
Pros
Stable enough
Cons
Management don’t know their people
