ABOUT WELSH WATER

We keep 3 million people healthy each day with safe, reliable water, and take away waste water to clean, before returning it safely to our beautiful rivers and seas. We serve customers in most of Wales, Herefordshire and communities along the English border.

WE’RE DIFFERENT

Welsh Water is different from other water or energy companies. We don’t have shareholders. This means that we’re able to keep bills down, and put every single penny we make straight back into looking after your water and beautiful environment – now, and for years to come.

We think it’s a much better way of doing things. After all, there aren’t many things more important to you than safe, clean water.

OUR TEAM

Every one of our 3,000 colleagues is crucial to keeping 3 million people healthy.

We all play a part in getting water to our customers’ taps. Whether it’s our customer experience advisors helping customers with their bills, or sewer operatives unblocking our pipes.

Our scientists carry out hundreds of thousands of tests on our water every year, whilst our engineers gather water and send it through thousands of miles of pipes to reach our customers’ taps.

Whether you work on the frontline, or supporting colleagues behind the scenes, you are part of an essential team providing our customers with a vital service.

Busy but progressive company
Extremely busy and high pressure role. However flexible working and progression and change encouraged. Team support available. Lack of support from other areas.

Terrible Company
Overworked, underpaid, underappreciated and consistently battling managers who would rather destroy your mental health than do anything remotely constructive or better for the company.

Fun
Great people in my team, supportive and easy to get along with. As with all humans, personalities vary but overall nice environment and people in the company

Poor management.
Bad pay. Bad management. Wouldn’t recommend working here. Managers micro manage everything and do not trust you with anything at all. Expect the world for pittance.

Good place to learn about HR
Really enjoyed working with the team. Learnt a lot about the HR role and the water industry. Workload can be heavy but the teamwork helps to get through everything.
