Productive and relaxed place to work.
typical day starts with checking emails, and carrying out my H/S checks, There's always something new to learn within my duties as building fabric maintenance engineer,I find it sometimes difficult to communicate to management as there's no line manager within 50 miles from where I work, so its phone coms only. The hardest part of my job is when I need a second person to lend a hand with somet...

Overworked and underpaid
An organisation that is currently not run properly and without clear leadership. The priorities that DPP have are not in line with public safety and do not provide the service needed by the public. This is as a result of not only this organisation but the agencies the police need to work with not caring about their jobs (eg social workers) leaving their clients or people they serve/support in le...

Badly run force
The force has always struggled with its leadership, and the blame culture makes this a very difficult organisation to work for, where management do not coach or support but target those that challenge the status quo. Plus the rural nature of the force and the limited opportunities for advancement depending on where you are first stationed, can have quite an impact on family life.

Great Company but boring job!
I loved working for Dyfed Powys Police but the job I was in wasn't particularly challenging. The nature of the department meant there wasn't a great deal going on and my role didn't feel particularly necessary.
