Great job, poor management
The job is fast paced, stressful at times but really rewarding. Unfortunately I left due to lack of support from management, and have sought employment in another sector.

Long shifts
Highly demanding. No break between calls. Long 12hr shifts, couldn’t shut down after work, just kept replaying all the calls over and over in my head. Took over 100 calls in a 12 hour shift.

Good
Reallly good job, especially if you love helping people. It is not for the thin-skinned or soft hearted people. It’s a great step to work towards any ambulance job. Your work colleagues can be lovely. Of course like most jobs there are those who feel entitled because they’ve worked there longer, and can be disrespectful and make you feel bad to please themselves.
