Car rental manager in Edinburgh

Do well and you are rewarded
If you have drive, you will do well here. They give you autonomy to grow yourself. If you don't fit in, they will soon get rid of you.As with most of the car trade, if in sales, you will have to go above and beyond normal working hours.
Receptionist/Telephonist in Glasgow

Most of the staff were genuine helpful people.
This job was interesting learning the switchboard was easier than I thought it would be. Not a lot of admin most of it was done in the morning. I worked pm most of the staff were very helpful and kind. A good company to work for. Just wasn’t busy enough for me. I think this was because of covid it held up the stock of vans being delivered was told it’s usually very busy. Overall was a good experience.

Awful
I would not recommend working here, while the majority of the staff in the building are great, there was a lot of micromanagement. There were issues with the way you are treated and how you are spoken to by the sales and general manager with things that don't really matter or things customers don't care about. In my time working here I saw multiple new staff start and leave from the same issues. One thing that every member of staff hates in the sales team is the coming in early every day for the sales manager to talk for at least 30 minutes for stuff that’s out of your control. You also aren’t paid for it as you are salaried. You will be expected to stay a late night once a week also unpaid as the sales manager leaves on time, expect your shifts to be changed last minute and told your time outside isn't as important as work. I had trouble with any holiday requests I put in and was told business needs always come first and that there is a staffing issue. I would recommend applying for a job in the service department as the manger there is brilliant. If they made the service manager, the general manager the place would be 100 times better and staff would be happier.

Great place to work
It is great place to work. I worked as a Sales Executive at Lexus. Great colleagues, great management, even better customers. Very rewarding job. Highly recommended

High turnover and long hours
Depending on the branch you work at will make an overall difference but shifts are long and tiring. Drivers are undervalued and would be better split into part time hours although l doubt the management would listen to this as are to busy to give a ****
