    Like most companies, the holiday year is the calendar year from 1 April to 31 March. Under the Working Time Regulations 1998, a full-time employee is entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks' paid annual leave (equating to 28 days' leave). If an employee works more than five days a week, their entitlement is capped at 28 days' leave per annum. For part time and bank staff the entitlement will be on a pro-rata basis.

    All public holidays shall count as part of the employee's entitlement to paid leave, under the Regulations.


    FOR EXAMPLE: 5.6 weeks x contracted weekly hours i.e. if you are contracted to 20 hours per week your entitlement would be calculated as: 5.6 x 20 = 112 hours annual leave entitlement.


    The staff are required to fill out a holiday request form, so management/administration can cover the rota, so it is best to get the form completed as quickly as possible.
