Not enough money

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
Good to work with, paid on time and issues resolved swiftly. Long hours, hard to make a living as pay for fuel, van etc. Approx £300 pw often worked 12 to16 hours per day!

Slavery

Do not ever fall on this trap. They will promise a good pay rate with reasonable hours. Do not believe a word!!!!! Forget about having a life, forget about making money, prepare your self for frustration and anger. Definitely, the biggest waste of time in life. Avoid even passing in front of their door.

Here’s how it works

Here’s how it works . You take all the risk and cover all the expenses they take the profit on jobs ! Zero hours contract . Absolutely no benefit to the driver ! Your fuel bill can be anywhere between £100 upwards every week depending on where you get sent !! You are liable for any parking tickets that you may incur ! The way central London is set up it is inevitable you will end up getting caught somewhere . Personally I think courier work in a van in central London is finished ! No matter which company you work for ! I worked ridiculous hours trying to make this work and couldn’t . Still don’t take my word for it , try it !

Pros

None

Cons

Long hours and full responsibility for all expenses . No profit for the driver .

avoid at all cost

£100 to £200 for 60 hour week driving across all of London you need to be doing 200 miles per day to make any kind of money they never give you 20 local jobs at £6 each which would be £600 per week they make you do so many drops that are miles apart so you can only do 7 jobs a day average pay £6.80 each drop you do the math they have radios that never work which you are paying for each week there is so much wrong with this company it's a joke on my induction I was told by the person giving the induction that he had worked there for 16 years but when he was asked what the salary was he said he had no idea

Do not work here!

Worst working experience I’ve ever had in my entire life! I worked for this company for two months and earned nothing. In fact I lost out on money. Had to leave a deposit of £100, deposit for uniform etc. After working for one week, spending £60 on petrol and having worked everyday, I was paid just over £100. This continued until I couldn’t take being treated like a slave any longer. Way below average minimum wage. And they lie to you initially and tell you that it’s £5.95 per item - a lie! It is £5.95 per drop, whether that drop contains one box or 10, whether it takes one minute or one hour to do that delivery you will still be earning the same £5.95. The people in the office talkin a good game while recruiting you but there is no support after. You can call the office 10x and not get any information as there are only two people who actually know what they’re talking about. Absolutely awful!!!!

Less then minimum national wage

Avoid them. In the first couple of weeks you will earn good money as try to keep you, and after you won’t earn more then 2-3 hundred pounds. Long hours, if you do kind distance you need to sleep in the van. You are replaceable and if you brake down your hourly rate is around 4£/h.count with minimum 12 hours shift plus your way home. Company policy: drivers come and go!! You earning more if you are a kp in a pub, treat you like slave and don’t respect you what so ever. If you say no , they will give you small jobs and cut down your earning but if you don’t , you will work work work, no personal life, and soon as you receive your wage you will be surprised. Be inform your landlord that you will be late with rent and the rest of your bill because you can’t live from 150-300 £ a week minus fuel. Good luck

Pros

Nothing at all

Cons

Long hour, less then minimum national wage payment

Not all bad

I have worked for this company for quite a few years , I have developed new skills and have progressed with them . When I was ill they helped me out enormously With hard work and a willingness to be a team member and basically do the job you are paid for You do get left alone . I feel the small reviews on here are not exactly right . Its a tough industry with strong characters And very fast paced but I love it Cheers

Pros

Left alone friendly work colleagues .

Cons

No pension

Do NOT work for eCourier.

Do not work for this company. You get paid next to nothing & are expected to work like a slave. Expect long hours & low pay. The majority of the long distance work is reserved for the controllers favourites. You will need to work 12 hour days & weekends to make anything near a living.

Pros

You get a van to take home.

Cons

Pretty much everything else.

Good

Good for some backup income. Don't get them too seriously. It's alright for weekends and peek times. You can easily earn around five hundred quid.that's all
