Kitchen Assistant in Weston-super-Mare
on 26 February 2019
A workplace with no teamwork or respect where everyone is fighting to see who can have a holiday first. The place is so unorganized it took me over a year to get uniform. one of our employees has just left because she wasn't paid after 3 months of working. but the job does have it upside the customer are some of the best people you will ever meet.

The team I worked with day to day was a fun team, it’s hard work but only for a few hours a day and kitchen work is fun. Our area manager was very friendly and would help cover when short staffed even washing up. Would have liked something at Christmas from the company

I wish I never started there!
Terrible untrustworthy company to work for, management are conniving and unprofessional changing timesheets and lying to the employees about contracts and job descriptions to get what they want! Extremely stressful and hard work for a terrible pay! No appreciation from the company at all except a generic email now and again to say sorry and they appreciate you after they’ve sent out illegal requirements or messed up on what they should of said/done HR department is appalling I would NEVER recommend this company not even if your desperate it’s not worth the hassle

Awful Management
Well not sure where to start, I was not made to feel welcome from the day I started, was pretty much ignored when I come on for shift, I would say Good Morning and get nothing back, the catering manager and the other staff member were very clicky and just made me feel like a spare part instead of part of the team. All the Catering Manager did was slag off the company from the first day I started, which to me showed very bad management. Yes they were under staffed only 3 of us and cooking for nearly 300 children each day it did need a 4th person over lunch to help with the washing up. Never any praise for the work being done only negative comments. I raised my concerns about the catering manager to the area manager but I might as well of talked to the brick wall. The only positive from this job was it was school hours and term time.
