Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedI loved working for this company. I only left due to lack of progression , I would have been able to progress if I was willing to relocate though so good if based in bigger cities
Pros
Good support, new projects
Cons
365 day operation so sometimes unsociable hours but depends on job role

Really fast paced but good hours and pay
Hospitality Staff (Current Employee) - Glasgow - 14 April 2022
For me it was really fast paced. The job is quite simple and you work with different people so get to meet new people every shift. The hours are good and so is the pay
Pros
Free food
Cons
Fast paced

Progressive and easy money.
Room Supervisor (Current Employee) - Sunderland - 8 April 2022
I started at 16 with no experience and worked match days and extra shifts. Match days can be 8-9 hours long. They do offsite shifts that can be 10-12 hours long but pay well.

You are just a number to the company
General Assistant (Former Employee) - Walsall - 20 March 2022
I enjoyed my job and was close to my manager and supervisor, they were fantastic. But the people higher than that really dont care about you. You're just a number to them and if you have a problem, they dont want to know.

Worse place to work
Kitchen assistant (Former Employee) - Suffolk - 10 March 2022
I would never work for Eliot again no people skills or management skills treat staff appalling never see your operations manager or any other of top management they take on any chef with or without chef skills they don’t have proper chef skills all is out or packages or jars, never listens or appreciate kitchen assistance

Poor trained support staff, poor food quality
Anonymous (Current Employee) - London - 6 March 2022
I can only talk about the unit I work for and my general opinion is that there is lot of pressure on the site manager who is honestly really supporting. People in charge don't realise that you cannot expect miracles when more than half of the staff needs to be properly trained and the quality/choice of the food is a little bit better than a fast food.
Pros
Good hours, nice colleague and supportive on site manager
Cons
Boring, lack of communication, poor quality in general

Fast paced. Overtime available. Split shifts
Cook/ Catering Assistant. (Former Employee) - London - 16 February 2022
Sometimes expected to work double shifts and nights in overtime due to other colleagues absence. Quite poor pay. But on the whole a reasonable company to work for.
Pros
Free lunch.unifirm provided.
Cons
Rubbish hourly rate for position.

Satisfactory
Operations Support Manager (Former Employee) - National - 13 February 2022
I felt they should have kept me on instead of TUpe as I still had much to offer. I was the only employee with iso qualifications and thus they required to complete and pass an up coming audit. They didn’t, in my opinion utilise correctly the expertise at their disposal, very disappointing.
Pros
Able to claim lunches
Cons
Long hours

Not terrible but definitely could be better
I got on with my colleagues and manager and there was plenty of training. The problem was bigger for me, that as a chef there wasn't enough emphasis on making good food and they were constantly making the recipes cheaper and lowering the quality of the produce we were able to buy, and there was a lot of bad management at operations level
Pros
Good colleagues, can be a fun working environment
Cons
Not a foodie company, badly organised at senior management level

Jobs at Elior Group
Pretty okay place to work.
Kiosk Supervisor (Former Employee) - Ibrox Stadium - 3 February 2022
Pretty okay place to work, very flexible around uni but you don't have much job security, they will fire you for not being available three games in a row but also cant provide additional work when matchs dry up, which can be one-sided.

Poor senior management.
Chef (Former Employee) - Eltham, Greater London - 15 January 2022
All company cares about is PROFIT! Shocking blame culture within senior management. A company that I believe deserves to be under investigation in how they operate from the top down

Easy job but management was really poor
Chef (Former Employee) - North West - 29 December 2021
Loved the job but the management was poor and micromanaged. The culture was. OK but there didn't seem to. Be anyway to advance as most sites were smaller satalites functioning independently
