A very pressured environment.

I used to love working at Elliott’s but sadly the last 7 years or so were just horrific. There was a regular change in senior staff of which most had no prior experience in the field that they have been employed in. There were plenty of opportunities to chat with senior management but any thoughts and ideas were always received but were never actually acted upon. The amount of staff was constantly reduced to a level were you struggled to complete your own work because you were trying to complete tasks that used to be done by another department.

Relaxed but busy environment

Labourer (Former Employee) - Whitehaven, Cumbria - 4 November 2019

Employed as Labourer for Elliott Group Limited, via UKL Associates Agency, working on the construction of a two-storey new build at Jericho Primary School site, Whitehaven to replace the existing smaller one-storey building. Duties included assisting trades, site clearance, unloading vehicles, movement of materials, prioritising duties, maintaining a safe working area and keeping the site clean and tidy at all times.

Mixed bag

Internal Sales Executive (Current Employee) - Peterborough, ENG - 28 May 2014

The hours are pretty fair and generally do not run too much over standard hours of 09:00-17:30. The management would benefit from listening to their colleagues that they manage and providing feedback up the chain to Directors. Co-workers are a good bunch but there is not much of a social aspect to the job - largely due to the location of the office.

Busy and challenging workplace

Transport Assistant for a National Facilities (Current Employee) - Sheffield, ENG - 12 September 2013

As my role is varied no two days are the same, the only similarities are that the days are busy. My work is varied, I deal directly with our mechanics, suppliers, management, drivers and the public. One minute I can be dealing with a driver breakdown, the other i will be dealing with a Third party regarding an insurance claim. My co-workers are all hard working and we have a good work and personal relationship. We work well as a team and aslo individually. The hardest part of my job would be time management as there is a lot to do and priotitise but the most enjoyable part is the satisfaction that comes from knowing that 100% has been put into the job.

Busy sales office with every day being different

No day was the same which kept the job interesting. I process orders from point of order to completion of installation. I liaise with Sales, Technical,Factory and Sub COntractors to ensure the smooth running of the process.
