Very competitive workplace. Managers are well looked after, supervisors are overloaded. Cleaning equipment poorly maintained.
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedManagement are focused on progression at any cost and surround themselves with " yes men". If you question, often self serving management practices, you are pushed out the door. Work live balance is good however. Site staff nice.
Pros
Good work life balance
Cons
Management put personal progression above anything else, Lower than average pay for expected responsibilities, Dog eat dog work culture.

Aggressive and money chasing
Maintenance Engineer (Former Employee) - London - 4 May 2022
Sadly they have lost their way due to saying yes to every contract they tender for but without providing, no respect for their engineers no matter how long the service, Green account managers without a clue how to run contracts in London who think cutting the Engineers overtime with immediate effect is the way forward, deluded thinking and no man management skills throughout the company, such a shame.

The best "small" big FM organisation
Facilities Manager (Current Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 20 January 2022
I've worked for them for 3.5 years and it's been thr best time ever. I've felt supported and encouraged from the first day, through some very trying personal times, and I've never felt undervalued. Management listen to you, they support and respect everyone. I'm so pleased I chose to work for them.
Pros
Good development, good management, great team work.

Bad supervisor attitude toward staff

At the Coventry Severn Trent area, there is extremely poor management. The supervisor treats the staff poorly and actively seeks to create a toxic work environment.
Cons
Bad management

Discouraging place to work
Corporate Receptionist (Former Employee) - London - 15 July 2021
Avoid this company to work with. Worst management you could find in the industry.Very selfish and no supporting staff at all. Didn't have any problem in blaming the staff for their mistakes and horrible organisation.Colleagues were great and salary is not bad, but HR and facilities management is a reason to run as fast as you can from them.
Pros
Salary
Cons
Everything else

Awful.
Mechanical Engineer (Current Employee) - Uk - 12 January 2021
All about the money, don't pay suppliers. Not a nice company to work for. Incompetent management. No interest in doing a good job. Not to be trusted.

Typical large company ethic.
Contract Manager (Current Employee) - Wales - 13 December 2020
Another company big enough to not really care about its employees but makes plenty of noise about well being and care. All the usual corporate talk and in practice no particular action.
Pros
Can’t think of any pros
Cons
Excessive hours as there’s not enough time in the day to complete what you need to do.

Demanding at a management level
Manager (Current Employee) - Hertfordshire - 9 December 2020
Safety is quite rightly the no.1 priority for staff in operational positions. EMCOR UK is demanding at a management level. This is usually driven by the high expectations of the client.
Pros
Good salary
Cons
T&C's not so good

Good company and on the up.
Project Manager (Former Employee) - South England - 25 November 2020
A company which is full of really good competent engineers, and Management who want to give a good customer experience. Management was not overly concerned with chasing the money but delivering a good service package. Some new management giving some much needed fresh ideas focusing on picking up quality standards.
Pros
Trust from Management
Cons
Lack of comms from above

Appalling management
Shocking management. Treat/spoken too poorly from day one. Hardly get what you ask for regarding PPE and then takes months to arrive. Cronyism for overtime on a MASSIVE scale, if your not in the managements clique of workers then no overtime for you.

Very good company to work for..
Security (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 3 November 2020
If you're looking for a company that values their employee, EMCORUK is that company. The accounts manager I worked for really values the employees. My line manager wasn't so much. A bad decision maker I would say. People makes a company bad by their actions.
Pros
Pays on time and a regular increment at the beginning of every financial year.
Cons
Could improve in listening to their lower paid staff more and provide support to them.

Cleaner (Former Employee) - Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire - 20 October 2020
this company it the worst I've ever worked for. The bully you to do the work others won't do while they stand around and if you call the office about this they say like it or lump it or leave ..this company couldn't run a bath and if your over 50 years old they ain't interested as your harder to bully than a young person..stay away you will regret ever going there AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Pros
Free parking
Cons
poor hours poor money
