Work

Very stressful place of work, with not enough pay and very low rates, very bad management scattered jobs required to drive loads of miles to and between jobs

Good place to work
Service Team Leader (Former Employee) - Waltham Abbey, Essex - 22 August 2023
Good place to work if in the right team, regular pay reviews, good work life balance, have team away days and regualr 1:1's overtime is paid the following month and car allowance or car provided depending on role

Underpaid, underappreciated, under resourced. Avoid at all costs
Customer Care & Technical Support Manager (Former Employee) - Remote - 14 August 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The discount scheme, I genuinely mean this. It was an awful company to work for. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The fact that they ignore the people best placed to tell them what is really going on. They won’t listen when you tell them you are on your knees. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Rubbish, we got a five pound per head budget for a Christmas celebration, generously doubled to ten pounds but of course travel would not be covered. Expect people to work extra hours for nothing. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Stress, trying to deal with problems that would be difficult enough to deal with if adequately resourced let alone when woefully under resourced.

Good management and they respond to issues within the workplace promptly. Overall I would work with them again in the future. Enjoyed my time with them as a cleaner

Poor management
Worked through COVID! No furlough in an empty school which I didn't get at all, cleaning areas not divided up fairly, lazy staff got away with murder, while staff rushed off their feet got more tasks put upon them. Shame because it's was an ok place to work for

Workplace support officer (Former Employee) - Wakefield - 15 March 2023
Had a very stressful time at Engie because of the manager I had to work with he complained at every thing I did on a day to day basis even though I had good comments on my work from other people that I worked with I did complain to higher management but nothing was ever done to make my work suitable ?
Pros
Not having to work with my manager

Negative unhygienic office in Crumpsall
Temp Helpdesk Administrator (Former Employee) - Manchester - 26 February 2023
Office very dark and dull. Staff not allowed to communicate other than business related. Management worked from home, made own rules workers not so treated like children in school. Unfortunately the office was unhygienic and cleaning standards shocking.
Pros
None
Cons
Hot office poor ventilation and dark

What a place
General Operative (Current Employee) - Kidderminster, Worcestershire - 14 February 2023
Work is repetitive and boring, management have their favourites and the rest of us are treated like children with a nit picking way of pulling us up. Seems the management are on some kind of bonus scheme to give as many people disciplinary action in one week as they can for such shocking things as being off sick on the wrong day. All in all, the worst place I have ever worked.

Nice atmosphere but low pay
Administrative Assistant (Former Employee) - Burnley, Lancashire - 10 February 2023
It was amazing place to work for. I gained loads of experience, working with very friendly colleagues. The only down fall is the pay.

Discombobulated
Technical Stores Co-ordinator (Current Employee) - Edinburgh - 3 January 2023
The job itself is easy, it's the people that make it hard & stressful, after 4.5yrs I've had less than 2k wage rise & still sitting at 20% below the average wage foe my trade, I've gad no promotions as there aren't any available & the promises come & go, same as the f2f, which are non-existent, job security is the only incentive to stay
Pros
Job Secuirty
Cons
Low wages, no incentive, no promotion

Great place if your face fits
General Operative (Current Employee) - Kidderminster, Worcestershire - 28 December 2022
Management and supervisors must have targets on how many people they have to discipline in a week. I have never seen so many people be dismissed for utterly stupid reasons. In one instance a supervisor sent someone home sick, they were then dismissed as said supervisor wouldn't admit to sending them home.

It’s like working in a nest of vipers
General Operative (Former Employee) - Kidderminster - 10 December 2022
The work is boring and repetitive but it’s not difficult. However the team leaders / management are utterly poisonous - you will end up forced out of your job on some trumped up reason if your face doesn’t fit. Being made redundant from this role in the middle of a pandemic was the single best thing that has ever happened to me. I do not recommend anyone work here.
Pros
The hours are somewhat flexible
Cons
Louise
