Unsupported

Managed for many years, felt like the last 5 were the most difficult. Limited support from those above. Made scapegoat after leaving. Not a great place to work anymore , try a less aggressive company who listen and hear.

Pros

Staff discounts

Cons

Long long hours lots unpaid

Awful place to work

Overworked , no overtime paid and a total nightmare of a place to work.If they are too busy you don’t get a break. Your shift finishes when the crystal ball says so and the vans are falling apart. Very cliquey and if your face doesn’t fit your treated badly. Avoid at all costs .

Pros

Hometime whenever that may be

Cons

Long hours, no overtime pay, worked to the bone

The pits

First off moneys great. But that's where the good stuff ends. Full trailers every night. Heavy cages. Dropps added on you. Late loading every night. Then when you finally get a green light you are waiting ages for your paperwork. Management are a joke. Never chase up late loads just sit in office eating takeaways. Lie to you to get what they want. They finish same time every day don't care about you

Pros

Money good

Cons

Late loads. Bad management. Lots of cages and pallets to handball

Made redundant during Covid, didnt receive redundancy pay!

Worked here for a year and a half. staff were friendly however after a year or so there was managerial changes so a new manager came over from an already struggling branch. Covid happened, was eventually made redundant, as was only there a year and a half and not the two years to receive a redundancy package. I was promised a full months pay, however after months of chasing, manager denied saying a full months pay. I had to go through Citizens Advice & eventually Small Claims Court. Eight months later I eventually received my pay. Very poor!

Pros

Friendly staff & not bad pay!

Cons

Poor communication & redundancy issues

Stressful, unsupportive, terrible management

Honestly the worst company I have ever worked for! I can't think of a single good thing to say about this place. I have to mention that the utter worst part of Euro Car Parts, for me, was the management, completely unsupportive and disorganised. Really felt like they do not care about you. It was just highly pressurised and all about the money making.

None

Cons

Poor management.

An alright job.

Depends on where they have you, really. Picking for Euro was painful, I was on the printers alone the majority of the time, despite it being incredibly busy. The LKQ side was much better, you weren't left to do the work alone there, and the team is far nicer and easier to work with. Management were nice, it was easy to put holidays in, and they were understanding if you were ill/late etc.

Pros

Coffee machine in canteen, good pay, holidays, free training

Cons

It's exhausting, half the people don't really care

Poor pay&poor management

The pay is poor you end up doing way more than you are suppose too. The branch can never cover the staff and never have enough people in meaning you have to work 10 times as hard. Management is poor from both branch manager and operations manager. There is no room for progression or to move up in the branch, they will sugar coat your problems and give you broken promises i.e payrise/promotion.

Pros

Decent people to work with

Cons

Poor pay

Some nice people but not for me

The environment wasn’t one I liked. It was a bit too young-laddish and wouldn’t appeal probably to older workers, or possibly many women. Very much a culture of childish or smutty humour, throwing things and passing wind.

Pros

Cheap car parts

Cons

Long hours

Avoid at all cost

Long hours and no support from management, direly understaffed and expected to multi task cover different areas of the business whilst also doing your job, which in such a fast paced company is IMPOSSIBLE, constant grief from management but no real support to grow, management only want to speak to you when something wrong not when you've done something well, your just a number, career progression almost non existent

Pros

Zero

Cons

Long hours, understaffed

Good starter job

Euros used to be a good employer. But they got taken over, just like the other motor factors. Now money is only thing they care for. You are just a number now. Its minimum wage, but you will work longer and not get paid for it. It can be quite clicky, but most branches have a good team spirit considering. They can just switch you from fulltime to “zero hour” offering next to none hours. The garages you deliver too are sympathetic towards you, as they also know all motor factors do not give a ish about anything but targets and money. Always get the big “i am” in the teams, but you can usually grind the mofos down as they stand out like a thumb. The career here is a dying trade with the motor industry changing and is evident in you wage and treatment.

Pros

Good starter job, Minimum wage, like most jobs now. Can have a good team feeling like Mcdonalds

Cons

The ever changing management, Also H/O, Can disrespect you and switch you from full time to Zero hour contract.

Terrible

Expect to work long hours sometimes without a lunch break, If your not in management expect to be treated like rubbish, The pay is terrible at this company, The jobs you go to are not that far at all, Perfect job role for a single person that doesn’t support a family or pay rent, The drivers are the lowest paid employees within the company, The vehicles are falling to bits and not serviced at the correct time, Dispatchers just sit around playing games on there phones whilst filling there face why you do all the hard work, Might be different at another branch but I haven’t heard great things, Your normal day at a euro car parts would be to find a parking space in the morning if you go to work in a personal car, Depending on what branch you work for depends on how hard it will be for you, It’s a massive challenge for me, After you have found a space you go into work and collect your PDA and van key, Everything is done by your pda now and not on paper, You complete your van check in the morning and that’s everything from the condition of the vehicle to the mileage of the vehicle, Once completed you are given a run, You start loading your drop into your van and make your way to do your delivery, Once at your location you complete all your jobs via the pda, Keep in mind they say take your time but the vans are tracked and if your late back they will moan at you, They want you to do the jobs as quick as possible but don’t take traffic or anything into consideration, Your always in the wrong and they are always right,

Pros

Staff discount

Cons

Long hours and treat like rubbish
