Sales advisor
field sales consultant (Current Employee) - Kent - 9 January 2019
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAlthough I was very happy here and achieved great sales success it is the management and the background that lets this company down so much.
The company has serious problems with their fitting teams at the moment and with such a small customer service team problems are not fixed.
Often the customers are contacting me after install because of problems and their lack of response from management.

Sales Consultant positionsGood as a complementary job
Field Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Usk - 9 August 2019
You will immediately realise that Everests customer is you, noy your customers.
They will sell you the ideea that they are so much better than everyone else and then they will send you in to the market. There you will realise that your super expensive product is not the best in class but it s by far the mostexpensive

Fantastic
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 4 June 2018
We are provided Leads by email; to visit; (offer a Consultancy Service to) new and previous customers. Travel by car between the hours of 08:00-20:00 Monday-Sunday. I love the role and meeting people and moreover the potential earnings that can be garnered by a sale, albeit commission only.
Problem is the customers who expect more for less and who are in some cases dishonest. They request all manner of advice related to windows, doors and home improvements, however, it is our time, our fuel and our energy which is used for free by the company and the customer.
The pay is sporadic and never guaranteed. The Leads on ocassions in the area I am located are woeful, as customers are not the target market and therefore have delusions of granduer when wanting to upgrade there shoddy windows. They then choose a local company who are unable to service the ten year guarantee and when one of 7000 companies per year fold, the customer then contacts Everest but still doesn't want to pay the fantastic prices offered.
Please people, think about it. You are potentially going to replace windows and doors in order to provide, safety, security, energy efficiency aesthetics and enjoyment of your home.
We know that bricks and mortar keep them outside out and your family safely inside, however, why do you think cheap substandard products are safe and secure or energy efficient when they clearly are not. Due diligence, do your research and there will be no room for doubt, as The Advertising Standards Authority confirm Everest are the Best!

Sales
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Hampshire - 12 March 2017
Very challenging at times as you are self employed and at times it can be very hard to make a living as you have to prospect for about 80% of your appointments and you do not get paid a minimum wage
Pros
Hours to suite
Cons
No guarantee of a income

Hard work getting sales as far more expensive than competitors
Sales Consultant (Former Employee) - Cardiff HQ - 26 November 2016
I loved the ethos of this work apart from one thing, because Everest products were so expensive it was getting harder and harder to achieve sales as their competitors were always cheaper, potential clients always tended to get 2/3 quotes and go for the cheapest option.
I really enjoyed travelling around to different areas, Newport, Cardiff, the Valleys meeting potential customers, but eventually I was almost spending more on fuel than I was receiving in commission and so had to give it up.
Pros
Free comprehensive training period of 3/4 days in nice hotel
Cons
One had to be really pushy in order to get a sale, and this is not me!

Been with Everest many years and what a great company to work for. It is hard work at times, but we get rewarded handsomely. As part of the sales team, there is never a dull moment, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Pros
can earn a great living
Cons

Hard work reaps great rewards
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - London - 8 September 2016
I've been a sales consultant at Everest for just over a year, and although it is not always easy and as straight forward as I would like, when you work hard you reap the benefits.
When I first started other consultants were happy to help me and give me advice, my Territory Development Manager (TDM) was always there for me and willing to help.
What personally appeals to me as a sales consultant is I'm learning the skill of selling which I'm sure will benefit me later if I decided to have a change in career. I'm more confident now, having met so many different types of people in the past year.
What I initially found difficult was if I didn't make a sale immediately I started to doubt myself and think maybe this isn't for me, but it really is about keeping a positive mindset and believing the next one is going to be a sale. During this period my TDM's help was invaluable, one thing that was crucial for me was a change in the way I approached consultations, at first I was just thinking about the money I could make, which is natural, but then I started to think actually about the customers and the need to offer them the best service possible and ensure they get the product they need to satisfy them whether it be for noise reduction, or security etc. that is the most enjoyable part of the job for me now, when I leave knowing the customer is completely happy with what they are getting.
With this company you really do get back what you put in.
Pros
Great benefits, trips abroad for top performers
Cons
Some appointments are late in the evening which doesn't always suit me

Great team
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - Essex and North Hertforshire - 8 September 2016
I have been working as a sales consultant at Everest for over 5 years now and I still enjoy going to work every day. Each day is different with new challenges but I work in a great team with lots of support from my colleagues and my manager. It is good working for a company like Everest that has been around for a long time, because customers know and trust Everest, which makes my job much easier.

Disgusting.
Sales Consultant (Current Employee) - Everywhere - 28 June 2016
Such a vile company to work for, staff are treated like dogs and massively underpaid. If I wanted to be spoken down to so often I'd sit on the dole at home with my wife.
