Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedAverage depend on parcel rate pay 80p to 1.25p per delivery. I feel not enough to cover my living expenses for using a car and can do part time but require volunteers if enjoy the job. For serious job you definitely need a van to keep up your living cost. Dont think pay is actually true and false economy.
Pros
Van - 300 parcel
Cons
Car - 60 parcel

27 November 2023Hi there, thank you for leaving a review and we're sorry to hear of your concerns surrounding payment. Our couriers are important to us and earn, on average, £16 an hour after expenses such as fuel costs - and this includes time for collection and redelivery. This is independently audited by the GMB Union. We're committed to continuously improving for our couriers and I will ensure your feedback is passed on to the correct team. Take care, Evri.
Disrespectful, waste of time.
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk - 27 November 2023
Attended the depot to start a training day at bury st Edmund’s. Taking time out of my current job. Upon arriving was made to stand around on the yard for two hours. Only to be told I couldn’t be trained and sent me home. I drive over an hour to get there. Lost a days pay. Also emailed after explaining this and they never responded. Absolute disgrace, 0 respect. Avoid.

Jobs at Evri
Terrible Pay.
driver (Former Employee) - Redditch, Worcestershire - 24 November 2023
Positives: Good colleagues and supportive line manager. Negatives: Terrible pay when you factor in using your own vehicle, fuel, and the number of parcels you have to deliver to even make a living wage. All in all, not worth bothering with for me peronsally, although for some people it clearly works.
Cons
terrible pay

Great delivery hours and per hour pay for the experience courier
Self Employed Courier (Current Employee) - Exeter - 23 November 2023
For an experience courier if you can get a high volume round it's a great per hour as you keep the same round so create a loyal customer base and knowledge of round that quickens speed that allows volume increase...The app fast and only negative poor optimization creating yo-yo effect so impossible to meet eta's as geo postcodes put many stops in incorrect place time for delivery. It's by far the best company I supply my services for balance of pay to hours, be great if you could start earlier most days I do not leave depot until 1pm with 150 parcels so it's a long dark night in winter. But in time when Evri create bigger depots and a better bulk parcels delivery to enable early starts Evri can create bigger parcel volumes from customers, so attracting more professionally skilled couriers like myself that raises the Evri quality brand.
Pros
Good hourly pay rate working same route daily
Cons
Depots too small.

Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Scarborough, North Yorkshire - 23 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? That once on the road your like your own boss. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Loading car and finding parcels What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Friendly. Everyone in same boat, just wanting to get in to get out delivering. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Extremely busy, sorting, scanning, setting eta's, delivering.

Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Woking, Surrey - 23 November 2023
They give you more than 60 parcels to deliver in 2.5hours, all disorganised, the parcels have no number ordered, you have to organise it by address, take ages to do so. Terrible experience. Poor management, this is an exploitation, don't work for this company, it is a waste of time a money.

Cover courier
Cover courier (Former Employee) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire - 22 November 2023
Cover courier Lincoln. Not recommend to be a cover courier, every day different routes. Low salary: around 45p parcel. Worked 4 Sundays was paid like a normal day Monday-Saturday not like they say 1£ per parcel. Sunday routes are longer with less parcels (normal day 80 parcels = 15-20 miles, on Sundays 50-60 parcels = 40-60 miles). I don’t know what rules for a full time courier, but never again be a cover.

Just a big NO, Avoid at all costs
Self Employed Courier (Former Employee) - Wrexham Industrial Estate, Wrexham - 18 November 2023
Terrible App and Gps mapping, not enough parcels to cover fuel costs let alone make a basic living!, Management were as helpful as they could be considering their heavy work load, but EVRI support and help phone number answers with a robot telling you the email address and then hangs up...... all the couriers sorting parcels in the rain at the depot due to no space inside, parcels all over the floor, just chaos!

Treat drivers like disposable napkins
HGV Class 1 Driver (Current Employee) - Barnsley - 17 November 2023
The work itself is ok it's the agency (challenge) that is the problem, they only let you know late in the day before if you have any work the next day so you are unable to make any arrangements and if you turn a shift down they punish you by not giving you any work for a couple of days

Cons

Don't bother attempting working for evri
Courier (Former Employee) - Redditch, Worcestershire - 16 November 2023
once you get paid you will wonder why your pay is rubbish and that's because the con you on at least 70% of you parcels by paying you lower band price, example a parcel worth a £1 will get paid at 53p or 70p plus the welcome bonus they offer you when you start only applies to 6 day a week couriers and you won't get the full amount either I got half. My advice Don't Work For Them

Courier Driver (Current Employee) - Keighley - 14 November 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Colleagues - other drivers at the depot What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Timed deliveries. Losing bonus if you're forced to change your estimated time of delivery What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Pressured at busy times but other drivers make it fun What is a typical day like for you at the company? My area is quite remote so a lot of preparation before I can start work

Poor management, hazardous depo with a very low health and safety level
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Newport, Isle of Wight - 9 November 2023
Working for Evri in Newport is a very bad choice. The management is completely unprofessional, they have very less knowledge about tasks as a manager, very poor peoples management, if are some issues they don't know what to do or who to contact , careless. The depot have a very low to zero health and safety standards, e.g. Birds poo everywhere on the parcels aswell, toilets are very dirty , random stuff is kept in the depot unused vehicles, rubbish left everywhere and on top of that the manager is vaping inside the office.

Terrible workplace
Manager (Former Employee) - United Kingdom - 7 November 2023
Really bad workplace. My manager decided to remove the water dispensers from the floor, in order to reduce costs. The associates had to go to the toilets for water.

Do not work for this company
Courier (Former Employee) - Port Talbot - 6 November 2023
I’ve learned that they will tell you what you want to hear and promise you the world…but neither will happen. The pay is terrible, will move and change your pay structure without informing you. Will send you anywhere/everywhere to do their jobs. Communication is shockingly bad, will hide behind other people as if it’s their fault.

Rude Management and Supervisors
Warehouse Operative (Former Employee) - Barnsley - 5 November 2023
I rarely write reviews but after my stint at Evri., I felt compelled to share my experience to guide others who might consider working there. From the onset, the management promised a collaborative environment with ample opportunity for growth. However, the reality was starkly different. The training was rushed and inadequate, leaving new hires to navigate the complex inventory system with little to no guidance. Communication was non-existent; feedback fell on deaf ears, and the warehouse was often understaffed, leading to chaotic workdays and a plethora of overtime hours, which, by the way, seemed to disappear into thin air when it came to my paycheck. To anyone considering a role at this company, I can only suggest that you keep your options open. The promise of a "competitive and exhilarating work environment" is, in truth, a masterclass in mismanagement and stress.
