Great place to work
Claim Handler (Current Employee) - Crewe, Cheshire - 13 August 2022
Featured review
ExamWorks selected this as a representative reviewBusy fast pace job. Never dull. Always lots of work to get through. Lots of opportunities to advance. You will be on the phone constantly. Department communications could be better.

Poor
Field Worker (Former Employee) - South West - 13 August 2023
Was promised there would be plenty of work as a field officer. Reality was that I got a trickle of jobs. When you work out the pay you get for the work compared to the amount of time you put in it’s really poor. I got zero training and HR were very unresponsive.

Terrible
Disability assessor (Former Employee) - Remote - 4 August 2023
Micromanaging from managers Getting told off if you score too much or score too little on pip benefit If admin people make a mistake in arranging stuff for claimant you usually get blamed by the claimant as your usually the first face people see Lack of support from manager You will get questioned on why you go off sick - and the manager may act like you’re telling fibs They think it’s beneficial for mental health just to take two hours off when one hour your forced to do CPD, so in theory only get one hour in a whole stressful month, it’s a joke If your laptop is broke and you work remote, they make you travel to the office, even if the office is far away If you become a disability assessor with this company you will feel stressed
Pros
None
Cons
Micromanaging manager

Awful. Dreaded going into work every day. Lack of support when I was diagnosed with a medical condition
Case Handler (Former Employee) - Bolton, Greater Manchester - 26 July 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? All I can say is appalling company to work for. No support. Management are a law unto themselves!!! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Lack of support from management What is the work environment and culture like at the company? I suppose it must be ok if your face fits. So many people have left the company and that speaks for itself. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Stressful, miserable and long.

Claims Handler (Former Employee) - Crewe, Cheshire - 27 June 2023
i worked there for a long time it started off great but since it has been taken over i was expected to take over 100 calls a day and do my allocated work, the managers found it acceptable to discuss my personal life in a managers meeting

As much or as little work as you like. Friendly allocators who are always willing to help. Can be a lot of travelling about but personally I enjoy that.

Poor pay and conditions
Staff Nurse (Former Employee) - Uk - 9 May 2023
Do not apply. They are selling it way beyond what you get. No advancement opportunities. The hybrid working is practically non existent. Over time has been taken away. Buying holidays is not available when you request it!!! Poor holiday entitlement and pay is way below what you can get elsewhere

Jobs at ExamWorks
Went from a good place to work feeling valued to demotivated and undervalued
Customer Support Adviser (Current Employee) - Bolton - 9 May 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Introduction of buying holidays What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Working at the company! Profess to be an award winning employer…. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Good location, nice office space. What is a typical day like for you at the company? Pressure to answer calls. Customer service out of the window as long as the calls are answered

Enjoyable, flexible, but minimum wage
Vehicle Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Kirkham - 15 February 2023
Great job if you like driving. You have to show initiative when miles from the depot and find a way to complete your task. Not a role for people who wish to be finished on time… motorways and train networks can’t guarantee this. A great role for retirees who are looking for a not too taxing role
Pros
Shift flexibility
Cons
Long hours, no work some days

Improvement required
FNOL Claims Handler (Current Employee) - Southport, Merseyside - 5 January 2023
Management and pay is poor but the job is extremely easy despite the lack of support you get. The work load is very low and you sit there doing nothing for the majority of the day so it can be extremely boring. Suits most who work there though as a lot of them are bone idle or like to pass the buck to someone else.

Great team / company
3.5T truck driver (Former Employee) - Bristol - 11 September 2022
No two days are the same, delivering and collecting vehicles in the South West. Trucks are modern and well maintained. Depot Management are very supportive. Sad to leave, but I had to find something which pays more.

Just don't.
Case Handler (Current Employee) - Bolton - 2 August 2022
Seriously, go anywhere else. Progression is based on favouritism, the targets are impossibly high and they don't value staff . You're pushed and pushed and pushed, and then chastised for the slightest of incorrections.
Pros
8.30am - 5pm
Cons
Literally everything.

A great place to grow
Claims Handler (Current Employee) - Crewe - 2 August 2022
Examworks (Kindertons) is a great place to push yourself to grow in an supportive environment. Management are concerned about your well-being and the CEO makes sure to get stuck in and is really approachable. The opportunity to progress is there is you push yourself and the satisfaction of working a case for a client is always there. Sometimes the clients may be a bit difficult but if you cannot handle that then this is not the profession for you. Maybe more competitive pay for the area could be considered but that’s a really small gripe compared to how much I enjoy it here.
Pros
Great management, space to grow, learn and progress and amazing staff
Cons
Some unreasonable clients, pay slightly low for area

Fast paced and enjoyable
Team Manager (Current Employee) - Horwich, Greater Manchester - 22 June 2022
The company genuinely care for the staff. We get regular updates from the senior leadership team. Hybrid working helps with the work/life balance. Senior management are supportive. There are regular social events and in-office team events (quiz, raffle etc).
Pros
Supportive management, hybrid working
Cons
Pay rises should be in line with inflation

Totally different to what I’ve done before.
Claims Handler (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 17 May 2022
I used to work in retail and office work is something I thought I could t do. But the trainer and the team I now work on were really supportive and didn’t mind all the questions I asked over and over. Every case I deal with is entirely different and that brings a lot of variety to my day. I go home feeling like I have helped people, which I used to working in retail but this feels more important as it’s following an accident that could be really traumatic, effect their ability to work etc and we take care of all that. Gives you a little pang of pride.
